the blunt nose, square headlights, massive wheel arch flares etc...all very conservative and realitively outdated.

Looks is a very subjective thing. Some like the minimalist almost office look in their homes, others like organised clutter. When it comes to cars the exterior portions on any car has probably been done before. Tubbed, flared and planished guards coupled with fats were a thing of beauty, hardly conservative, in the seventies and I think they work very well in the VE, if only for nostalgic reasons. Interiors are also highly subjective, but one thing for sure is that Holden or Ford, they will last longer in our conditions and climate than the majority of imports do.

I Think the AU3 / TE Interior Tops it all. Though i do really like the FG's Interior.
As for nice holdens. My Votes with the VY.

Yeah thats what i was referring to, thanks for the correction. My mum owns an F6 (Jealouse :P), ive owned an EL, an AU2 XR6 and my XR8 now and i still think the better pick of them all for interior was my XR6. I regret selling it to be honest. Anyway back to subject before it goes off topic.
Will be interesting to see what the next one after the VF will be. The things i've been reading though i dont think there will be a next one. The way the markets going Holden wont last another 3 years. Cheers. Rodney.

As others have mentioned, VT was the most popular Commodore, not the VE.

Yeah i agree that looks quite horrid to be honest. Better than AU i think is a bit far, BA i will agree.
I Personally thought the VY SS etc Interior was nicer than the VE. Cheers. Rodney

A bit unfair comparing a Fairmont Ghia to a base model VE. I think this image would be more appropriate. |

in regards to the fuel maps switching from E85 to Petrol, I'd imagine the high need for a wideband O2 sensor to auto tune the car as your driving.
Just relying on interpolation based on a sniff sensor isnt a very precise method.
