No one buy them so I have less work to do!

I'm just dreading what the Liberty is going to look like. The RS (I'm guessing) up there looks like a re hashed Liberty front to me. I dare say they are going to go even crazier on the Liberty to make it stand out.

I cant tell the diffrence between the current rear and the one in those photos.

Lights and bonnet are nice, tripple grill sucks.

It's very Alfa-esque.

I'd much prefer an EVO over one of those things.

Oh dear. I think the front end looks horrid. Doesn't really have the look of a performance vehicle, IMO.

Can't say I like it.

I HOPE EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS THIS...
IMO, it would look really good if the surround of the middle grill part was the same angle as where the surround of the outer grills meet the bonnet (the surround of the outer grills are roughly at a 45 degree angle to the bonnet- the middle should be the same angle, not the 100 degree angle it is on the concept)

Also, what is with the rear window wiper on the sedan? (the current one doesn't have one does it, or have I never noticed it before?)

That is one ugly car. Subaru were regretting the bug-eyed front and the previous facelift addressed a lot of the problems, but it still wasn't an outstanding design. Now they've gone for another front they can regret. The back end is not all that different and it always lacked a bit of physical presence.

At least it looks better than these artists impressions from earlier in the year
http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring...u-wrx-2006.htm
Now those tail-lights look like they're from an Alfa!

As I mentioned before:
"It's very Alfa-esque."

Kinda looks like the older 155s they used in the BTCC ... just slightly rounded off

The front could of been a lot worse off - just look at their B9 Tribeca SUV. In my opinion it looks pretty inoffensive at the front, however by the time I'd reached the back I would of fallen asleep.

Seriously it looks like they couldn't be bothered trying.

Very minor changes other than the front end.
I have often mistaken the rear of Impreza's with an older Daewoo model...now which one is it?
They should have continued the outer grill through the centre, now that would have looked good...
Anyone up for some photochopping?
I had a really rough go...please don't laugh it was with Paint!

I hate Subaru's new corporate nose!! I like the current Rex and Liberty but if both end up with that nose, then it will change real soon!!

It might have looked ok if they had bothered to change the rest of the car but it looks stupid with the old middile and rear.

Hmm - I can see:
TJ Magna Bonnet
Alfa Grill
VY SS Bumper.

Well anyway, it may grow on us all. Going forward, a grill design change ala AU series 2, is cheaper than the headlight redesign the last scooby went through.

I actually prefer the pre bug-eyes front. If they could only update that style- this one looks like they're trying too hard; bonnet bulge, turbo scoop, foglights, etc.

Heh wouldn't an AWD GTP be nice? :P

Ahem....as i mentioned before, its designed by an alfa designer.....

I just pinched this from an article from a wrx website :

Believed to be the lovechild of Subaru's new Grecian chief of design, ex Alfa Romeo design guru Andreas Zapatinas, the front end incorporates a much more aggressive look that more closely resembles the Subaru Liberty/Legacy, particularly when you look at the headlight cluster.

Cheers
Jim
