The maximum launch force available for a 1000kg car on slick tyres in the dry is about 0.9*1000*9.81 = 8829 Newtons.

The fastest 0-100km/h time for this 1000kg car is therefore 3.2 seconds.

It would have to weigh nearly 3500kg to accelerate to 100km/hr in 0.9 seconds. Try going around a corner in that tank.....

0.9 friction lol.

Top fuel cars get to a hundred miles an hour in a car length and under a second so they must weigh FOUR HUNDRED TONNES. What sort of stupid are you?
Yes, both comments miss the mark.

Drag cars have tyres with coefficients of friction in the 2-2.5 range, 0.9 is ultimately just a high performance passenger car tyre. If the drag car was powered by an electric motor of the same power(we are talking 2000hp+ here), it would be be only able to achieve ~half the acceleration of one with a fuel motor.

Reason being: the vertical thrust from the exhaust gases of the fuel motor provide enough thrust to ~double the force over the back wheels, doubling the force that the tyres can provide before slipping at launch, but not having to accelerate double the mass, hence getting the accel into the 5g region.

so 100km/h in 0.9 secs, requires 3.2g of accel or tyres with coefficient of friction of 3.2(nope they dont exist), and unless the thing has some pipes pointing skywards, I say hoax, or perhaps its got a jet or rocket engine attached!

I'm not sure it has enough power to get to 600km/h let alone in 7 seconds.

Red Victor achieves similar acceleration numbers. I'm not sure that I'd want to go around corners with the baggy, soft tyres and drag setup suspension though.

It would have to be powered by something like this where acceleration is not dependant on the ability of the tyres. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waDeveWle54

ok i'll say it, 0-600 in 7 seconds is absolutely impossible.

Absolutely, undeniably impossible.

Let alone the fact that the driver would probably grey out under full throttle like a fighter pilot and wrap it around a tree

World's greatest hypercar hoax?

RSC Supercar Concept

German brand says it will build a car with 2089kW of power, 3494Nm of torque and a 0-600km/h time of seven seconds.

There are fast cars. There are powerful cars. And then there’s this.

German company RSC says it is working on a hypercar that has a claimed 0-600km/h time – yes, 600km/h – of 7.0 seconds. It can also apparently get to 300 km/h in the same amount of time it takes a Nissan GT-R or Porsche 911 Turbo S to get to 100km/h.

RSC has reportedly been working on its upcoming radical racer since 2009, with a concept version of the car set to be unveiled at the Top Marques Monaco automotive expo in April 2012. So far, however, the brand has released just one teaser image of the new vehicle.
Advertisement: Story continues below

The RSC website states the car will be powered by a 5.2-litre, quad-turbocharged, eight-rotor rotary engine producing 2089kW of power and 3494Nm of torque – or roughly five times the power and torque of a 911 Turbo S.

The site’s specifications sheet claims the engine will be mounted behind the seats, with power sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

With such dramatic claimed outputs, it comes as no surprise that RSC is boasting some eye-wateringly quick sprint times, too, including a bottom-blistering 0-100km/h time of just 0.9 seconds.

According to the website, the car will make it to production late in 2012, with a maximum of 12 units per year allowing the brand to “fulfil our high pretence to exclusiveness”.

This isn't the first time RSC has boasted about a car that hasn't yet been seen in the metal. Earlier this year the company touted its first effort, the Predator GT, which was said to be capable of 883kW of power and a 0-100km/h sprint time of less than 3.0 seconds.

If RSC's claims about the new car - which is believed to be an evolution of the Predator GT - are true, then it should easily eclipse the current record for the fastest production car held by Bugatti's Veyron Super Sport (431.07km/h).

We’ll believe it when we see it.

To make that power it would need 4 GT42 turbo's

Hard for me to see this being streetable and it defiantly won't reach those 0-100km figures

I think the car in the "secret" picture is a Ferrari 458. Look at the headlights and their positions in location to the guards. And the rear view mirrors. Or possibly a Gallardo.

it's possible, Mike Moran built a 3000hp quad turbo motor over 5 years ago.
