They've probably only sold about 500 through out Australia. If you see one then count yourself lucky

There has been a blue XR6 at Adrian Brien Ford for at least a month now. Parked right out the front at one of the busiest intersections in Adelaide. No one has bought it yet...

I dropped in a couple of weeks ago and they had a black G6ET and a silvery G6 in the showroom. Nice cars, but that long bonnet, not so sure yet. My FG G6ET has nicer proportions at the front IMHO, but the black FGX did look very classy with the tan interior.

Yesterday I saw a gold XR6 up here at Aberfoyle Park. It looked bloody awesome on the road and the DRLs looked very cool!

Seen a white xr 6 turbo sedan at the rocky dealer, along with a blue xr6 Ute and gold xr 6 sedan. Also a silver g6e driving about.

Have seen a XR6 in a caryard & not impressed with the look.
Think I saw one on the road about a fortnight ago that caught my eye as different but it may have been a Mondeo. It was only a quick glance front on & was enough to make me look in the rear vision mirror to check.

Seen none on the road here in Perth, only in dealerships. Spoken to numerous enthusiasts most of whom were not even aware the car existed/was available.

I will not question your statement that they were enthusiasts of something, but I find it difficult to believe that car enthusiasts in Australia are not aware that Falcon still exists and has been restyled.

Are these enthusiasts with no Internet access, television, or news agents in the area? I know that Perth is a little remote from Geelong, but that seems a stretch.

People who would fancy a family car with some grunt and old-school Ford enthusiasts who gave up on "Wheels" and "Motor" when it went Teutonic and who don't live on the net. Bugger all in the papers motoring columns, no TV or print advertising AT ALL (John Hughes ran 1 ad in the paper once before their projected XR8s were all gone) and none on the street. Hardly surprising.

FGX is targeted at those of us connected and passionate enough about Aussie Fords to want the last one or who rock up at a dealership wanting a value equation on a largish sedan different to VF until the new Mondeo rocks up. I suspect sedans are taking up production slack on a line pushing out more Territories and utes then sedans....anyone here in the know on that?

I live in Brissy and drive in very heavy traffic for 2 hours each day , I look every day but so far havn't seen one driving around.

That said I did go to the frod dealer at springwood to have a look at one . they had a white xr8 that they wouldnt let me look at because ""the boys have locked it up for the night'' at 4pm.
And they had a xr6 turbo and a xr6 ute. The dealer took my number to call me with prices for a g6et or a test drive in the xr8 (which wasn't sold yet) or a xr6t test drive. That was almost 2 months ago and still havn't heard from him.

It really seems like they couldn't give 2 shts about selling them. Very disapointed in the guys attitude also.

Heard the story about this one at a Vic Park dealership. Apparently the new owners brother passed away leaving her the rights to trade and display "XR8" and when opportunity presented she decided to get the car to match, a Victory Gold auto. Good to see it's being driven.
