I have test driven FGX XR6T and VFII SS. The SS (not SSV) had 90,000kms and XR6T was approx 40,000kms at the time. The best thing I liked about the SS was the sound at idle. Having only done a brief test in both is difficult to give an accurate opinion as to which is better. Make sure you can a get a good test drive to get a good idea of what the VFII is like.
If you like the sound of a V8 the VFII is very tempting. I did think the SS could of sounded better when up and going. If you are looking for a better tone also factor in an upgraded exhaust. If you like your music plan to upgrade the speakers on the VFII. My BA G220 stock sound system sounds much better than the VFII SSV I sat in and had a listen too. For me if am to spend $45K+ on a car I need a good sound system. It would be ideal if you could have both the Ford and Holde. I'd also test a Mustang if you are looking at the VFII just to see what they are like. |
