Singapore, vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand. Great places for my first overseas trip. Vietnam was excellent, as was cambodia. The culture is so different, and the people are friendly too. Went on a group tour with a few others, two poms, an american, my family (four) and another aussie. Being offered the chance to shoot a full round of an m-16, ak47, rocket launcher, grenade launcher and a multitude of handguns for US$10 in cambodia was priceless.
