In the early 80's, I was given a XT Falcon, and later on a XA coupe minus engine and trans. I spent roughy $1500 on the coupe and sold it $5000.
The cheapest I actually paid for a car for was a XR Falcon for $5. (actually it was a swap for a packet of Winfield reds, which were about $5 that back then)
