CCR and CCX share the same 4.7litre Supercharged V8 which is assembled by hand by Koenigsegg. Based on the humble Ford 4.6litre Modular V8, as found in the Mustang.

1. Koenigsegg CCR 388 km/h

2. McLaren F1 372 km/h

3. Ferrari Enzo 355 km/h

These speeds were done on a 12.5 km long oval were the steering is at 30 degrees all the time.
Which means the full top speed of the car aint reached.

Koenigsegg CCR real top speed is over 400 km/h.
It got 806 bhp from a 4.7l V8 engine.

These have since been shunted down the lists for the Buggati Veyron...

Funny that at the start of that episode they were making fun of Clarkson's GT which has been in the workshop being fixed longer than he has driven it!

That was just NUTS, but doesn't Clarkson have the best job in the world?

Prefer the styling of the original Koenigsegg though, not quite as bulbous looking. And even the original was tail happy...think they would have learnt.

Also, Top Gear claim the CCX is only 5mph faster, and actually 0.2 secs slower to 100kmh. Doesn't sound enough with an extra 150hp to play with.

I never liked the Koenigsegg until I saw that video. Reminds us of supercars before the electronic era kicked in. Now I finally found out why there was the extra long name on the Leaderboard at the end too. Seems like they have so much fun misspelling the name, although I must admit having to copy and paste it for here. :P

This is an earlier top gear review on the Koenigsegg, not sure which model this one is.

This is the vid of the highspeed lap, 388kph.

Both are good vids but not dialup friendly.
