hell yeah the typhoon is a nut the weight dont help thats what makes it so unstable. but considering 740+hp or so it has quite good traction.

Even with the power, the typhoon seamed like it was wanting/did wheelspin more easily. With the GT, it just put the power to ground and walked the back a bit. No real snap like the typhoon

very true the gt has a fair bit more sedate power to weight ratio 2.4 or there abouts i believe and the phoon is around 1.7 or so. the phoon also has the a very aggresive turn in and tends to understeer a bit mid corner and corner exit whereas the gt is more stable and able to power out of corners easier if you can tame the phoon though its a maniac you just need to start the turn in earlier then suddenly use a sharper turning angle and power out of the bend like nothing else this how i got my best lap times with it. what times are you getting on motorland with the phoon and gt? im hovering around low 37's with the gt atm still working on a setup for the gt though as ive never really driven it.

Yeah i agree with you guys, the GT is so much better to drive, the Typhoon is abit sloppy. Whack the stage 2 exhaust on the GT and it sounds :
Just to clarify are you guys racing in arcade mode or GT mode. If in GT mode with the stock car can we do an oil change first to give it abit more herbs and can that still be classified as stock? Can we also play around with Traction control, oversteer and understeer aids? |

So far i havnt been able to pry myself away from forza, the godfather and black on Xbox, think i might have to have a stab and see if i can match some those times
Must say that corkscrew does take some practice to get used too. I dare say ill be a fair way off some of the times allready posted, i havnt played for months, guess i really should dust off those controllers and have a stab |

But I like the idea of having multiple tracks so we can choose whatever we want to do. Also, I like Ruger's idea of going all out, if we go all out there is no way of cheating and there are no advantages to anyone.

Ok. Heres how it is.
There will be a three round chapionship, held at the tracks, seattle, tsukuba, El captain. Happening in that order. Each round will last for approximately a week, so that everyone has time to set laps. There are two classes: Stock - Played in arcade, time trial mode. The car will run sport soft tyres. You are allowed to use tc/asm. No other changes allowed Modded - Played in GT. No limitations When you report your lap you report, class, car, time, gearbox, use of tc/asm, and use of nos. Eg. Class...Car......Time......Gearbox.......TC/ASM......NOS Stock....GT.....1:10:000....Manual............TC.. ..........N For TC/ASM, put TC if you used traction controll only, ASM if you used ASM only, and if you used both put Y For NOS, put Y if used, N if not used. When reporting times, photo's would be prefered(remember, samller is better: Dial up Sucks), however they are not required. Also, only post your time, i will update the list when i'm online. Let the fun begin. Seattle here we come for round 1. Cheers |

If you want a fixture: (Note dates my change by a day or two) Seattle :5/8 - 14/8 Tsukuba : 15/8 - 21/8 El Captain : 22/8 - 28/8 Cheers |

Last time there was a GT4 comp it didnt work as some people end up achieving a good time by slamming the car down straights into the wall doing 300km an hour, while others try to drive properly.
You really need to select one of the tracks whereby if you crash/run off the track etc the session ends. I dont think from memory any of those sessions have a falcon. |

Seattle has dead ends, you cant use walls to your advatage at all, tsukuba has sandtraps, and el capitan punishes you severly for mistakes, so, i cant see how people can cheat in this one
