I live in Paradise on the shores of Lake Macquarie, moved from Sydney in 1983 and never looked back. Actual location withheld, its a big secret and thats the way we like it. Its the closest town to Freeway, Lake, Rail, with pre-schools, schools and colleges all close and handy. With a low crime rate! Oops secrets out!

Kotara is worth a good look too. Schools are great, my little brothers and sister went
to primary and high school there and believe it or not speak highly of the teaching staff. Houses are only going to go up in price and it's somehow still a quiet enough suburb 10-15mins drive, peak-hour, from the city centre. I'm looking at a house there tomorrow to, very seriously, try and buy (All things well of course).
Large, and currently being upgraded, Westfield. Sporting teams. Public transport.
Just another one to have a look at while your at it.
