And with a rotation of 5 cars to wash, I hear it often.

Why is it some people manage to get through life being so clueless? I was doing a job for a lady today and she asked if I had some cable ties. That's not the kicker. So I gave her some and bought up some double sided velcro. She now believes I made a heap when I invented velcro. Or so she actually thinks I did. Velcro has been around for ever and I am not smart enough to invent anything. The lady knows my boss so I really hope she brings it up to him, I'd find that funny.

Maybe she played the dumb female role, to make you think you were a great tradesman, smart and knew all the tricks of the trade, appealing to the male ego. That ensures you do a great job because now you have to live up to how wonderful and great you think you are in her mind and will have to go the extra mile to impress. Maybe you've been played. |

To be honest I would get more entertainment from getting called out on that. It's not preying on people or anything like that. Its harmless and regardless of who it is is something I use to break the ice with people so they arent like dealing with a brick wall. It's just a dumb joke to prove I'm also a person. Personally I think if you cannot make a joke at your own expense you have no right to make a joke at anothers expense, and even then theres a line. And it's a thick line to be fair.

Why is it some people cannot get their head around eating a meat pie using the true single handed technique without making a mess of it. Granted how the pie mechanic engineers the shell is a factor, but today the pies were well built. My offsider today i was disappointed with. He ate around it without attacking the middle and it was carnage. There was steak and mushroom dripping everywhere. No attempt was even made to drink the pie juice when it looked like it was about to flow out. So maybe some pie juice on the selected pie eating hand is acceptable, getting both hands covered in pie and associated tomato or bbq sauce should be punishable by law. Im relegating my offsider to sausage rolls only until he can mend the error in his ways and im willing to let him step back up to meat pies.

For some reason that theory reminds me of that thing people make for family functions (cant remember the name) where the cob thing is hollowed out and filled with dip, then when the dips out you tear it apart and eat the bread thats absorbed what ever was inside. |

Why is it... that the chance of rain increases proportionally to your decision to leave the umbrella in the car and the distance that your car is parked from any sort of cover?

Why is it that a Democrat President can lie under oath about sexual misconduct during his time in the Oval Office and not be impeached, yet the leftards are baying for the blood of the Republican President for something he may have done in his private life, years before he became a politician?

..... the Ranger Raptor thread has pages devoted to splitting hairs over fuel economy on a $75 / $80K truck.

Why is it that people feel the need to drive in front of trains at unprotected level crossings? They couldnt possibly not see a large green steam engine they do tend to stand out.

Why is it that most calendars start with Sunday? Sunday is part of the weekend so why do they show it at the start of the week?

Well, i ask a similar question to myself often enough regarding some peoples existance, and i even question some of my own actions. There is no law to stop it. Governments will let anybody breed. Atleast my kid isnt an entitled self absorbed drain on society. I cant say the same of my ex wife. She is not entitled but deffinately self absorbed and a drain on society.
