Sweet, should be good for a laugh or two.
At least it's a car movie, I don't think there's been a new one for a while has there?

When this movie comes out I am going to make sure I don't see it, instead I will put in the DVD player a PROPER car movie (with a proper story with it too)

Mustang Nismo was a good novelty but is an insult to how many good V8 drift cars are out there. I think a 67 Mustang with 4.6L Modular would have been appropriate.
Thats rubbish, in a drift car, 99% of the time you are first gear, full throttle, bouncing off the limiter. The RB26 has stronger headcaps which means it's more reliable on the limiter. If you use an RB25 with stock valve covers it wont last 2 hours mate. Watch the video of the rotrory electric RX7 sitting on the limiter, dead in 5 minutes cause it blew the pistons.

Yeah. I got Bulitt on Bluray just to see that mustang. it doesnt get used enough though. still good movie.

When i referred to Vin's SS in my first post, i meant his charger. isnt it called an SS charger? or am i deluded?! Not frking commodores.

Oh and apparentl they got in trouble for using the word NOS i nthe first, because they didnt ask the company. which is why (apparently) they call it Nitrous in the other 2.

Yes, what are you implying? A rotary has 4 rotating pistons with a central bearing acting as the main rotational geometry device. The 4 pistons swing around 360 degrees therefore the engine never has to stop, hence why rotarys are reliable and rev higher, theres no strain from moving up and down. Heres a basic diagram.

This might be a bit more helpful with how a rotary works:

No pistons present btw

Mate that sites a load of bull, let me tell you now. I've rebuilt 3 rotors and each time used pistons from a Ford Meteor as they fit perfectly.

This buildup could be dust or dirt, not 100% sure, however, it's very interesting regardless. Hope you enjoy.

I genuinely burst out laughing when I saw your diagram of a rotary engine.

I should get my cat to draw a normal internal combustion engine. We could compare designs.

Unless I've been very wrong in all my years of car loving. This is what I (and google images) thought a piston was.

god this thread has turned to pure gold!!!

And theres nothing wrong with the RB26DETT for drifitng. you keep the standard turbo's or something of equivalent size but stronger instead of using a big single turbo(which is what most people do to RB25DETs) which carries no down low power at all..

RB26 is gutless down low. Only idiots sit on the limiter and within a few laps they are blowing smoke and running on three cylinders. Even funnier when intercooler pipes fall off and they get a nice engine full of dust
