Make of it what you will, but this is off Ford Australia's own website. Maybe someone can check the had book.

2.0 Duratec GDI 2.0 Duratec GDTI Ecoboost

Recommended Fuel ULP or PULP E10 Compatible 95 - 98 RON

As someone else said, why bother buying a performance car and cheap skating it on fuel quality and worrying about consumption? Bit like people buying a badge like BMW then not servicing them because they can't afford it, loads of them around...

People may struggle to commit at short notice. But how about setting up a cruise on say Sunday 23 June? Not bothered where!

Anyone keen?

You can use a standard usb to ipod cable (ie the one that came with your ipod when purchased new) and it will work fine, the steering controls work, the voice activated controls work, you can browse playlists, select genres/albums/artists/individual songs as well via the center controller or by voice.

However.

It does take a while for it to start playing music upon normal startup (ie starting the car) around 15-30sec for mine, that being said it is completely full (ie the 160gb is full)

I also bought the ford OEM ipod adaptor, and no difference at all.

Oh and also shows the song name, album and track no as well on the center screen.

That colour looks awesome Copie! But I'm a bit biased.

BP98 in mine only. Getting about 680k's to a tank (8.4/100L), hasn't quite hit 3000k's yet, but still going well

Roger that, Copie. Ta. I've been checking out prices on the net, and for under $60 it probably isn't worth the hassle of not having it.

Wow, that is an amazing price. As per my earlier post, I'm getting mine from City Ford Melbourne for $38,650 on the road as advertised on carsales. Couldn't get them to budge, but then I wasn't really prepared to walk away either Couldn't even get them to throw in window tint or any accessories

A bit intrigued by the consumption figures being claimed on here. As I'm sure we all know average speed plays a big part of that. My first full tank I'm currently sitting on 9.1L/100km averaging ~50km/h

Mine varies, it has been as low as 7.5 and as high as 9.9.

I generally get around 8.5 in my everyday driving.

I have only (and will only) ever used 98, either Caltex or BP.

As an aside, Ford Australia's very own website says that 95-98 RON is required for the ST, which is the same as Ford Europe's stipulation.

I just hope that p.laver's vehicle hasn't been pinging away on the 91...

Mine has actually just started rattling a bit at idle, not to mention it makes a weird noise in general when saying driving against a wall you can hear this high pitch sort of noise, its hard to explain but doesnt seem right, i guess the guys on the bathurst cruise will be able to confirm, otherwise ill get ford to sort in at the 3000km service

I am still in the 10-11 litres / 100km, however, I do mainly peak hour driving and where there is a bit of empty tarmac, I sometimes cover it a little bit quickly. still using considerably less petro than my XR8 and is a ton faster. and better.

Yeah an ebay seller called Adelaide parts is where i got mine from, worked out around the same price as the stealership (except they were going to take 3 weeks to get them in) Shipped in 1 day, and 2 days postage (comes out of their adelaide branch)

Same as me, I am usually drinking in peak hour and doing short trips as well (>15 km) so I cant realistically see how my city usage will be any lower than 10L/100, which I still think is brilliant.

Just cracked 1500km, and on 9.3 with an average 43km. I've actually got the Ford Eco Advanced Driver Award hahah, set your trip computer to the average fuel screen then hit right and it will show you how good you are on gear shifts, anticipation and speed
