Cool, thanks for your help on that phil545..
Both myself and my partner have iphone 5's, we used mine originally when we first picked up the car for approx 5 days, had no issues whatsoever, worked a treat and which Im sure I had been running v6.1.4 on the iphone 5. We then proceed to pair my partners phone to SYNC, it pairs successful. Pretty much everything features wise work - plays music via bluetooth and via USB dock. The main issue is the voice command, the only feature that works via this is when you command it to play next song and it does, however thats about it. First of all, youd press the voice command button on the steering wheel and it would prompt you, youd then command to call someone and sync would come back with " Please Wait - error noise - Requested contact currently unavailable in the phone book" and that would be it. Secondly, again youd press the voice command button on the steering wheel and it would again prompt you, we'd request an artist by saying "Artist - whatever". Error noise would again chime and then say, "Creating speech commands please wait" and again that would be it. Ford had it yesterday and the salesman did a master reset and connected his iphone 4s and of course worked fine, then tried my partners phone again and of course it happened again. Its going in tomorrow again to be apparently hooked up to a computer to see if any updates are available, if there are, ive been told apparently it can take 3-4 hours to upgrade. If there isnt any updates available Ive pretty much been told that thats all they can do and so be it, until apparently Ford Australia release an update to fix this? Or it could be a problem with my partners iphone...... I am at wits end, its really ****ing me off, and now that ive found out that above from phil545, im now thinking there is an issue with the SYNC system......

Let me know if there are any updates as i'd be interested and coming up to my free service ill get them to do it then, if i can help anymore let me know, also when u push the speaker button you can push it again and cut her off and just say your command

I'm with NRMA, they were the best by far, im going with market value for the first 2 years as they have a new for old replacement and paying $1020 a year, 26years old one acco 4.9 years ago so once that disappears it will be cheaper, i had quoted agreed value for 40k and that was bout $1300 a year

Remember insurance is highly location based, so these figures might be apples/oranges.

Little teaser pic from the detailers - these scratches were there when I picked up the car from ford. Not too happy on a forty thousand dollar car, however I wasn't going to let them correct it and make it worse. The tail lights were worse again, however my mate made quick work on cleaning it up, the whole car is getting buffed and coated in ceramic pro along with the interior too, can't wait to pick it up tomorrow looking its shiniest

Yeah it was pretty bad, I think the picture made it worse though, anyways its all protected now by Ceramic Pro and knowing what to do I'll take it easy on them whenever washing it.

For those who use a normal ipod and not bluetooth
You can get the USB + 3.5mm to 30pin off ebay which work fine for the ST http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/160904541...84.m1497.l2649 Quite a bit cheaper then the ford one which is around 60 bucks. Ive bought a few off that seller and tested it and works fine (bought them for the work truck but tested it in the car just incase) |

Well, after a longer wait than expected, I finally have a date that my car will be arriving at the dealer. It is now expected in on the 29th of this month.
A little later than originally expected when I ordered it (was supposed to be early to mid June). Must be on the slow boat (hopefully not from China ) I'm assuming the dealer will need at least a couple of days to get it prepped, so am planning on picking it up around the 5th July. Will be a longer two weeks than the three weeks gone so far. I'm sure the wait will be worth it though Craig H

Congrats mate.
Well today i had a chance to see what the ST is made of on one of my fav roads although it was wet today. I could make some comparisons with my old modded XR5 Turbo. The ST is no where near as skittish on rough surfaces. IMO it is as quick as my old MODX powered XR5 The ST feels slow but a quick glance at the speedo reveals otherwise. The ST is much less prone to understeer in tight bends, bare in mind today was wet. The power is so linear and versatile, its there when you want it. Whereas the tune on my old car could only be compared as brutal in comparison but it still did the job quite well. Hopefully ill get a chance to try the same trip in the dry sometime soon to give a better idea of what its like. 3700kms on mine now and so far im very happy.

Anyone else getting a lot of exhaust carbon/soot buildup over the rear of the car showing up after only a few days of driving? Not sure if its just the white that shows it up more but it seems to be quite noticeable

Nah mine is the same mate, the rear is covered in dirt, i just got mine protected with ceramic pro so a quick squirt with the hose and its all clean again, i'd recommend getting it polished some decent stuff

Cheers. I have polished and waxed it with Dodo Juice and comes off easily enough, only trouble is goes back on just as quick!
