Whenever a supposedly impartial article mentions the phrase 'Big Pharma' it loses that label.

BTW What's 'Small Pharma' then?

Slow Sunday for NSW Covid vaccinations. Totals now at 88.5 / 67.5 percent of candidates. With the weather and festivities, have to wonder if there were a number of no-shows.

"mounting". In NZ, out of 4.3 million doses administered, only 666 (someone is going to read too far into this, I know it) cases of serious adverse effects were reported.

That's 0.015% of doses resulting in serious adverse effects.

There are also 60 deaths reported to date, only one of which has been linked to the vaccine, but even if they all were, well, to quote the report...
"To date, the observed number of deaths reported after vaccination is actually less than the expected number of natural deaths."

https://www.medsafe.govt.nz/COVID-19...-report-28.asp

If you're calling 0.015% "mounting" then what do you call the tens of thousands of people in ICUs all over the world with covid?

NSW/VIC

NSW records 623 cases in the current period and the 10-day average growth rate decreases to 0.9539 (from 0.9587) while the actual line remains below the predictive trend line and based on the 3rd order polynomial, that trend line now has a downward curve again.

VIC records 1,337 cases in the current period and the 10-day average growth rate increases to 1.0834 (from 1.0662) while the actual line is now slightly above the predictive trend.

Data valid as at 00:00 GMT October 3rd 2021.

Note: As not all Australian States report at the same time, the data below is based on the previous full day reporting.

1,905 new cases for Australia and 13 deaths so the CMR is 1.197%.

33 new cases and no deaths for NZ so CMR is 0.620%.

The UK had 29,666 cases yesterday and 44 deaths for a CMR of 1.733%.

47,089 new cases in the USA yesterday and 690 deaths sees CMR at 1.618%.

Other notable points: (weekend reporting)

Only Somalia (597)

... recorded new highs; those in blue for the second consecutive day and those in red for a third or more consecutive day.

No countries move above the 90th percentile for the 10 day period while Ethiopia drops below.

I feel as flat as hell since having my second jab, no real aches or pains apart from tenderness at the injection site and a slight headache but keep getting waves of nauseus feeling, dizziness, tiredness, dehydration and irritability.

It seems like Australia was onto this new treatment medicine very quickly. It seems like it was only in the media last week?

Greg Hunt says new treatment sotrovimab is being used in Australia
The Federal Health Minister says the new medication sotrovimab which has been used on those infected with COVID-19 is being used in Victoria, ACT and New South Wales.

Mr Hunt said he spoke to former Deputy Chief Medical Officer Nick Coatsworth about the use of the treatment.

"His message was that it's saving lives already, it's making a difference to the health of patients and they are using it in the ACT," he said.

On whether it was being used in regional hospitals, Mr Hunt said the federal government made it available to the states and they decided where it was allocated.

I’m not looking forward to me second vaccine. I have a heart condition and anxiety. I ended up getting checked out in hospital after my first jab due to chest pain.
Oh well can’t do much about it. Ill just hope for the best for the next one.

I know where you're coming from mate, i too have a heart condition and suffer from anxiety.
If i can do anything to help put your mind at rest let me say that from around 8pm last night the symptoms went away and i went to work today feeling fine.
My advice, drink heaps of water, they tell you that during your booking but i looked around the post jab waiting room and not too many went anywhere near the water coolers, i stood next to it and kept filling my cup and felt ok for the first 18 hrs, the following day i hardly drank anything and had no appetite and i believe this contributed to my feeling of unwell.

Keep us updated, if you need to talk we're here to listen.

2nd dose next Monday.
Bought forward the appointment because the stipulation on construction about traveling regional to metro is simply unworkable for any business or sole trader.
I was actually pretty annoyed reading through it. I kinda feel like we're doing all we can here, give us a break already!
But no matter what target we reach there'll just be more rules, more "COVIDSafe Practices".
They should put a date on it. 1st December, back to normal. If you want it you coulda got it. Enoughs enough already

so, is the Ivermectin that is used here as a cattle drench, the same as the Ivermectin used to treat COVID in the States. I am led to believe they are different drugs, but the same name

Apparently America has the same drench for cattle but it is not the same as the COVID treatment. We are laughing at the Yanks for taking Ivermectin, but what if their 'Ivermectin' is a treatment for COVID?

Here's a snippet from the wiki page for Ivermectin:

Brand names
It is sold under the brand names Heartgard, Sklice[73] and Stromectol[1] in the United States, Ivomec worldwide by Merial Animal Health, Mectizan in Canada by Merck, Iver-DT[74] in Nepal by Alive Pharmaceutical and Ivexterm in Mexico by Valeant Pharmaceuticals International. In Southeast Asian countries, it is marketed by Delta Pharma Ltd. under the trade name Scabo 6. The formulation for rosacea treatment is sold under the brand name Soolantra.[2] While in development, it was assigned the code MK-933 by Merck.[75]

Hope that helps answer your question, Trev?

Just be a very diluted version Trev, but very pricey for the dilution process!

If it does work Trev it certainly hasn't worked looking at the 600,too dead it's just the anti vaxxers trying to latch onto anything but get vaccinated

I was listening to talkback in the truck on night shift last night and this guy rings up NZ from Indonesia to say that he had knowledge of some government official reporting on statistics from Victoria that the majority of people that died had been double vaccinated he said he'd recieved emails about it

The host debunked it saying the official got the stats the wrong way around and it was actually all the people that had died were not vaccinated he corrected himself 5 minutes later

The amazing thing is that's how quick the anti vaxxers are to latch on to anything that supports their cause even when its false and send it around the world quick as that

Hi Trev

The US FDA has published a good info page on this: Why you should not use Ivermectin to treat or prevent COVID-19

Cheers
