I only bought it for MGS4, GTA IV and a blue ray player, as well as being able to connect it to my camera memory stick and my PSP. But after looking at some other games on PS3 sites, it looks like ill be using it for a lot more than that. Selling resistance and f1 on ebay to buy something decent.

i heard you might be able to download GT prolouge of the playstation network in october this year i hope so cos i no i will be. i also downloaded the ninja gaiden demo and the darkness demo not bad might have to get them

to be honest id lop side that vote toward the xbox because i dont know 1 person who rates the ps3 over the xbox (unless your 10, seriously) And that is exactly why the nintendo wii is flogging it in sales too

Ive found after spending the last few hours going over eBay, and eBay USA that there is **** ALL games that are even worth playing. The first good one I can see coming out is GRAW 2, on the 21st of next month.

You mean the game I was playing a co-op Campaign on last night? :P

If PS3's GRAW2 is better than 360's I'll be shocked as the graphics are amazing.

Some games are some games arent if you go to this site http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-14-71-bm-49-en.html it will say if the game is region protected or not. As for blu-rays its also the same thing. I bought about 6 from this site last month http://www.amazon.com/
They were about $23.00 aud each and about $25.00 postage for the lost which took less then a week.

Personally (seeing this thread is still going, and it's like the 3rd one), I think if you want just gaming, especially online, then go 360.

If you want graphics, and 1 or 2 of the descent exclusive PS games, then go PS3.

I'll be getting a 360 as I want Xbox live really, plus I like the controllers much better. The graphics and fancy crap people go on about really don't phase me, i'm still happy to play my SNES, 64 or Xbox.

It hasn't inspired me to want one after seeing that, seems the video is only scoring 6/10 presumably from fans. Environments in GRAW2 are just as nice. I don't mind the MGS franchise but they end up being more puzzle solving on how to get through a level than anything else.

Personally i've never been much of a MGS fan, too cliche. I always preferred hitman and splinter cell. The graphics do look good though. Wouldn't pay all the money for just that game though!

Depends on who you listen to. Some will say the 360 is superior, some will say the PS3 is superior but most I've read say they're pretty much on par when it comes to graphics capabilities. CPU, the PS3 seems to have a reasonable lead though.

Possibly the only one you've listed there that's not subjective is sales. But realism? A guy walking around in a lycra suit whips out a rocket launcher from where...? Just happens to find barrels he can camoflage himself with his own home made barrel? Is it playable online? MGS was one of the reasons I bought a PS2 oh so many years ago, haven't finished it yet.

Yeah, because there's countless real situations where one guy in a lycra suit sneaks into a high security military installation with a barrel and kills everyone in it. :P From the video the AI looked positively awful, hopefully it's revamped. I'd also recommend that all barrels be painted a new colour.

If you can't see the points of realism in a MGS game, and haven't bothered to finish them all then don't comment on them. Also notice the game is set years from now, so use your imagination as to what technology would be like. Using a barrel/box to sneak around is FUN and inventive, like many other features of the game. Just because there are things that are not realistic, it does not discount the fact that most of it is. As for what can have the best graphics:

"Combining the CPU and GPU power, the Playstation 3 is rated at 51 billion dot-product-operations-per-second (dpo/s). The Xbox 360 is rated at 34 billion dpo/s.

Advantage: PS3"

Still there aren't any decent games on PS3, so ive bought Bully, Black and Mercenaries to play on it. As well as Splinter cell double agent (PS3 version), but the problem is its a XBOX 360 port so the graphics are ****, and its as slow as hell. I wish i knew that before I bought it. Lazy developers.
