How do you argue with that?
You can't. I'd be doubled over.

Top Thread

Back in yr 8 some ****er i used to catch the bus wif said that we used to go to his mates farm and he recons that his mate had a hilux wif NOS and that it went so fast that the standard speedo would be useless and they had to attach the digital speedo because the reading was so high.
I asked him so how fast you get?
Him: just under 300kph the Nos ran out on the last second so thats why we didnt get to 300 otherwise we would of done it easy....

A guy from work who just recently quit explained to me, after finding out I had a v8 project car, that he and his friend made a twin turbo hyundai excel. I immediately thought the guy was full of it and rightly so, when it was only last week that he told me a ford escort was cool because it had "a speedo thing that reads the revs"

My mate at school used to ask me what revs the "turbo kicked in" at on my dads turbo diesel jeep.
Me: Turbo doesnt "Kick in" mate, it depends on how hard you puch the car because it is driven by exhaust gases.

Him: Then what is the turbo timer for d**khead? :

I had to walk away

Yeah, I do. Don't you?

My Uncle's (he actually taught Rob Herrod how to work on cars) pulling it out so dad can fit the 384 with custom made 710 cap. We're also putting 4 diffs in - one for each wheel so it goes harder.
I'm also going for a ride in the new HO once the test mule comes out cos I know the cleaner in the execs office at Ford. His brother is borrowing it for a night an we're gonna see what it can do.

Some mates of mine convinced another bloke that he needed 'genital cream' to make his well, you know, grow at the normal rate. He was all worried about it and apparently went home to ask his mum to buy him a tube of this stuff, came back the next day and told us his mum had grounded him for even asking :.

Some Teenage boys I know seem to be repeat offenders of this sort of thing.

One that comes to mind for me was earlier this year, the last time my little 2 door Escort was driven and the exhaust manifold broke in two. A few days later, someone I know (a teenage boy who is known for making up stories) says to some other people that I was near his place in that car (when that car hasn't been driven since the exhaust manifold broke in two), that he spoke to me and that I'd not only had the panel damage in the driver side front 1/4 that has been there on that car since before I got it fixed, I'd also had the car re-sprayed and that I was doing burnouts everywhere.

When I confronted him on this, all he'd say was "oh, it must have been someone else, they looked like you", and wouldn't respond when I asked about what I had supposedly said to him.

People like this are often just looking for attention, they're the same ones who say crap like "no matter what you do to your Escort, it'll never be as fast as a 6, because it's a 4 cyl", all you can do is laugh at them.

An old Mate of mine whose not a mate anymore was telling me about the powerchip on his S pack VT commodore.

"When it hits the 200km/h limiter on the freeway, you hear this little beep, beep, beep from the powerchip, the limiter is removed, the back end fishtails and it powers away to 280 km in about 10 secs....."

Sorry to mine this thread, but right now on msn my dumb motherfu*ker of a mate is trying to tell me his stock (engine mods wise) 1989 camry needs a 72mm throttle body, I told him that a falcon has a 68mm throttle body and it isn't restrictive (i'm sure it has more airflow than a camry) but no!! He says that his mate told him a 68mm throttle body will be restrictive!!!!! I mean wtf is this!! He's abusing me, and calling me stupid!! The guy is a lost cause.......

Reminds me of a tool who tried to tell me (back when the RX8 had just been released) that he used to run a Mazda dealership, and that next month there would be a RX8T (RX8 Turbo) available, but he wouldn't touch it because the turbos explode and even with a turbo it's never going to be as fast as a Holden V8...

I wonder how many raffle tickets he managed to sell talking crap like that to everyone? :
