Well im coming to then mark. I would have gone with you last night but i had work and i was a little upset that i couldnt go. Iv just realised the extent of jareds injuries. In regards to his hip it might mean that he might not be able to walk for a while :( and his rehab id going to take a long time. He is going to need all out suport, this is going to take time, and he is going to hate it.
As for the hubcaps the idear of having members from interstate is a good idear but we risk getting then broken or lost in the post(you know what they are like).

And by drive a manual you mean piledrive an inexpensive prostitute? :

Anyhoo one of my schoolfriends got hit by a car when she was 10 and shattered her pelvis. She was a mess at the time. She recovered fine though, and she never had any hip/walking/etc problems at school, and now she's a happy mum. Gave birth the natural way & all. Point to the story is he'll pull through and will be "driving manuals" ( : ) like an old pro ( : : )...

Update: A few of us went up to the Royal Melbourne, and when we got there, we were told he's been moved to Donvale. While it's a shame we didn't get to see him, it's great news that he's already been moved to a smaller hospital! He seems to already be on the road to recovery!

LOL true that. I should've brought the weber so we could have a roast outside the main entrance of the hospital.

More updates on where Jared is now. I got a sms today from him to let me know where he is. He is now at the Victorian Rehab Centre in room 41 the acacia ward if anyone want to visit him. I will be going on Tuesday night before the bassie mini meet so if want more info just come up and see me at the meet. Oh and BTW i will be bringing snags and hamburger with the BBQ to on tuesday night if anyone is interested

Mark

That is awesome news that he is in rehab so soon. Wish him speedy recovery and hope that he is back out with his mates soon.

Bet his family are relieved that he is doing well, would have been quite a scare for them.

Good to see Jared is recovering quickly, and only got minor injuries when you think of how bad it could have been.

Any updates on how he is going at all???

Hi guys,
Just a update on how Jarred is going as I went to see him last night. He is doing well is is really thankful for all your support on this thread as I told him about it and how many pages there are on it. He still has double vision and is slowly recovering from his fractured pelvis. He said he would love some more visitors as he doesn't have much to do during the days and they say he is going to be in there for about 4-6 weeks depending on how he goes. So come on guys go visit him if you get the chance he would love to see any of you. if anyone wants to go in and see him 2morrow afternoon I'm going in and I would be able to meet up with anyone before hand just call me on my mobile. the number is 0422726063.

Cheers

Robert

Yes Fiery it was a scare for them. I talked to them last night as well and they didn't even get a call from the police, his mum drove past the accident and saw the car there and thought it looked like his car and she then tried to call his mobile and there was no answer so then she went to the mini meet to try to see him and of course he wasn't there and thats when the alarm bells rung and she got his dad to go to the accident site to check the car and thats when they found out it was him. I think thats worse than the phone call. I'm a little mad at the police for not ringing the parents to let them know.

Hey Mark, where in Gippsland are you going?

I'm also going to Gippsland after work. I'll be heading to my parent's place at Maffra for the weekend, so I'm not going to be able to see him this weekend.
