So glad this is coming out in the news
Way better than just finding out about it through indirect channels. Very excited indeed.

All this excitement with the Falcon again from the media(fwd comment excluded), has Marty Mcfly taken us back 10 years? lol
Either way I love it!

Guys,
Here is the AIMS press day video that FOA has released. Its 15mins long and includes the sneak peek of the 2014 falcon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjLaD...ature=youtu.be I'd like to also add: Well done to FOA in getting the EVOS concept here down under. I could imagine it would have taken some lobbying to get it to Sydney |

The only things I wish they would fix in the new Falcon would be: * reduce the weight a bit * lower seating position a bit * bit more fuel efficient * simpler ICC (i mean why do we have half degree increments on the aircon and why are there 10 fan settings when 4 or 5 will do) * LED taillights * front parking sensors * gluteus maximus rejuvenators in the rear seats Last edited by turbodewd; 22-10-2012 at 05:26 PM. |

I really hope when he says 'shocked and excited' he means its going to be ballsy and bold, and youthful. I guess it won't be if David Katic has any say, who seems determined to pigeonhole Falcon's audience as a mid 40's family dad.
In addition to what turbodewd has just said, having lived with FGII for a couple of months now, I agree about the seats. I also think cost cutting measures like only having auto up on drivers window, space saver hurt showroom appeal. |

Sounds like Ford has responded to all the bad press surrounding the supposed death of the Falcon and is now fighting back with a 1-2 combo of first the motorshow sneak preview to generate a swarm of interest and get people talking, followed by the massive uppercut that will come when they finally take the velvet blanket of and reveal the falcon to the public!
Lets just hope that they do it right to re stimulate the market into buying large cars - i think the ecoboost and its variants will be key to this as long as the styling is bold enough to match the hype. Bring the noise!

Great that there's some good news coming from the Ford offices and a bit of hope for Falcon fans. But if they ditch RWD and switch to FWD I hope the Falcon name plate dies as well. Whatever they build might well be a very fine vehicle, but it won't be a Falcon.

It will be the 2nd generation ZF 6 speed, an upgraded version of what we have now. Has a slightly higher torque capacity, 2-3% more economical, faster shifting and the possibility of blipping the throttle on downshifts like it does on the Jag XK with this gearbox. Hopefully Ford use it. |

seems ford AS USUAL is on the right track. Its a long time till 2014 and all the forum fans and the evergood journos just start writing garbage as early as they want. looks like ford has a great plan ahead with an awesome lineup. Only downside is, we may have to loose a few things like maybe the 4.0 six. But if we keep the ecolpi..its the same thing only better. Looks like lateish next year well get a good SOLID sneak peak to interest maybe possible vf buyers and not dent current models to much. Sounds like a feaseable plan to me.
