I have updated the PS3 with the latest software update and seems to work better now with some back compatible titles like singstar.

I'm sure the same applies for the PS3 (don't have one at the moment). If it's the equivalent dashboard update on the xbox then it will likely be bug fixes and/or enhancements. Provided you don't mod your PS3, you usually better off applying any updates that are available.

Bought NBA Homecourt to play online - anyone else have that? It is SOOOO laggy its almost unplayable. Was wondering if anyone else has the same issue.

Other online games (eg motorstorm) work fine. Im 'apparently' on ADSL2 with Optus so I dont think its my net connection making it laggy.

Falcon Phill I agree. But from what I understand there are a heap of titles about to burst onto the scene. Once they build some momentum we'll have some choice - just a little slow to start I guess.

when I updated the latest software updates, I noticed extras on the main dashboard that werent originally on there. Just some extra features mainly and I can only assume to updates to fix the bugs if there were any.

lol. I only worked out how to change my game resolution from 576p to 1080i last night and whoa....the difference in quality was phenominal. Made playing the games so much extra fun.

Well I'll continuously check the PS3 website each week for the latest updates.

Falcon_Phill & XA Coupsta - Kinda know what your talking about. The rack for games on PS3 is tiniy compared to whats on Xbox and PS2 but it will get bigger. I currently have ordered the transformers game this week

Might look into some more racing titles out there too.

But hang in there, it will get better I reckon. Its only been 6 months since its release.

Meh. Halo3. Better fps's on PC and not having to wrangle with the controller. Bought Halo2 on release and probably played it for 30 mins before I was bored with it.
