Well, since they are in essence 121s, then yes you can, as the non-base model 121s had tachometers. Don't know why...

Festiva and 121 were completely unrelated. The Festivas were actually made by Kia (sort of successor to the Kia Rio) and badged as a Ford. The 121 was made in Japan by Mazda

I see! The Kia bit is interesting, I'll never own one now.

But by the same token, if a 121 can get a tacho, then a Festiva surely...

Only 1 of the Festiva models had a tacho, mine is a manual but no tacho.

And if treated right there aint nothing wrong with a Kia Avella / Ford Festiva anyway...

I hate seeing vn through vs commodores lowered where the back of the car is way lower than the front. Also recent HSV body parts on early commodores. Yuck!

It didn't even have a bodykit.

Any part installed on Pimp my Ride. Can you imagine those cars 5 or 10 years down the track?

They didn't come out with a tacho, but there is no reason to put a tacho that is bigger than the steering wheel in a car like that!!!

Spinner hubcaps, neon, stickers and pointless gauges. I saw a VN which had a heap of chrome gauge cups on the bonnet, up the pillar and across the dash. They even had a wire coming out the back down to the mounting stud. BUT, there was only white plastc insert instead of a gauge and the ones on the bonnet looked like they were actually glued on!

I saw a very old Corolla with a cannon and a flashing neon stick on the parcel shelf doing laps near the club last night.

People are free to do what they want to their cars but be prepared that people will laugh at it.

theres no all of the above

huge spoilers on cars that would NEVER need it
neons on most cars
huge blingy rims or anything really chromy
those motorbike exhaust tips
oversized mud flaps and 40 spot lights on utes with huge aerials that most never use/need....even worse on a sedan
monster tachos
cars that are so crappy lowered to the ground, exhaust louder then a bomb going off and no power what so ever trying to race a standard falcon..tisk tisk tisk
supercheap mesh grill insert..dunno but i hate the stuff
cheap pedals and steering wheels and gear knobs
doof doof that has so much distortion.... or in a car that rattles to buggery
those cheap crappy mirrors
imitation seats and supercheap ones

or aftermarket drivers that have to beat anything driving a falcon or commo because they have an imported car.....

sorry i dont like most supercheap gear, or rice......bloody wog haha

EDIT: dont mind the odd airhorn or fuzzy dice...i have lightning mcqueen on my dash...

Ha ha, a mate saw my tacho yesterday. All he could say was...."What have you got that for? Mate you ARE 40 years old, not 17!" My wife agreed with him. Could be time to sell my car I think and grow up.

Heh, yes I saw that poor fairlane a while ago MADNC and immediately thought of you. I hoped to god you didnt see it. I cant beleive what they've done, it goes so far beyond stupid.. and the insult continues when in the description he's trying to sell it by telling prospective buyers to 'imagen lowered with tint'. then it gets worse with people asking if the 'wing' is adjustable cause "i need to know for highspeed track work" I hope to god they're giving him ****. I'm still praying that its just a really good photoshop joke..

Meh... Don't listen to them - I'm 38 and don't mind a bit of fun - it just means you aren't a sheep that has to be like everyone else. I like the motto of the Ulysees [Motorcycle] Club - Grow Old Disgracefully!

Ha ha, all the Sudanese in Blacktown are driving those now, and running into everything daily. If you see one with 20" chrome wheels, give it a WIDE berth. I know of at least FOUR such Commodores attached to a single townhouse in my block!!!
