Last week at Duxford, (UK) Air Show; 16 Spits:

 BAII RTV - with Raptor V S/C. RTV Power FG G6ET 50th Anniversary in Sensation. While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about. “Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”. |

And in NZ last week, after a full restoration:
                The next of the "Few", a WWII airframe delivered to Australia. There is a Spit being built at Oakey from scratch.

Another new addition to the family. Qantas 747-400. I have cleaned up my desk and boxed away a lot of models till I can get a suitable display cabinet.

US Army Rangers on a Nightstalkers MH-6 Little Bird.
 Here's my 1/18 scale version, carrying a couple of guys from the A-Team (don't ask).   I actually received two of these TOW Defenders in the post, even though I only ordered one. Score!

Some new arrivals today.
Qantas 787-900 (I know they don't have any) and 767-300       In 2 weeks I am setting up an airport and taking all my models to a Hobby Expo, so all the ones in the pics plus another 20 or so I have boxed up. Should be great. |
