I usually park across 2 disabled spaces with trailer attached to stop anyone getting near my car.

I also carry around traffic markers with do not cross tape in case I'm forced to park along the yellow line instead of across the disabled spots.

Seems to be working pretty well so far.

Its fair enough if you have a decent car.
But last week I saw someone in an Old POS corolla with bad body kit, fart can and cheap looking alloys, park well away from all other cars.
Wouldn't want his late 80's ricer scratched!

Whoever opens their door onto the soob gets its red paint all over the impact point on their door hehe love it.

I was driving out of eastgardens today and saw a particular stereotype in her lexus SUV backing with her hazards on (why?) into a car space, completley missed and ended up backing her lexus inbetween the spaces right over the dividing line. Lucky there were two empty spaces not just one hehe.

Some may say the same about my 14 y.o xr6 though.
it may just be his pride and joy that he has spent the majority of his time and money on.

I must admit I don't park over two spaces for fear of people purposely scratching it or parking me in (have seen it done)

But i do park at the other end of the shopping center right up next to a wall or gutter, so i can get as close to it as possible.

I'm gonna assume your car is in great condition.
This corolla was nothing special. Could see usual wear and tear over the paint/body.
He wasn't even in a proper parking space. He was just between 2 random walls over the far end of the car park near nothing.. not a very busy day either.

Maybe he is going to leave it there for a while and hope that someone steals it so he can claim insurance. haha
Although you would take off anything valuable first (bodykit, wheels etc)
they might be crappy, but still worth selling separately

Maybe the owner is just incapable of parking? I saw a male P-plater in a VS tonight attempt to park between the lines in a virtually empty car park - was way out, reversed, then hit the gas too hard and mounted the pavement, making an almighty scrape. This was 30 seconds after he pulled out in front of me and I nearly cleaned up his front passenger.

I do that at home! My car gets parked withing 100mm of the house so nothing can happen to it!

Can just here Riksta now.

*Hope they didn't damage the beautiful VN*

Getting a stone chip repaired on one of them would probably cause it to be a write off

i can just never comprehend how people mess up driving that badly.

i've had a few anxious moments in the (very steep) driveway where i've pulled on the handbrake, put it neutral first (always let the handbrake hold my car, not park/gear, then park/gear when handbrake has held it)...and then the stupid au/b-series handbrakes haven't held/engaged properly first go.

i know i park pretty close to the house/other cars, gotta save space in tight driveway & prove i'm a good judge of distance... .

but every time the stupid handbrake has let me down, i've been johnny on the spot & never clobbered anything.
kissed bumper to garage door once or twice, but nothing like mistaking the stop & go pedals though

Saw a thread over at the Whirlpool forums (deleted now), where a guy claims he was trying to drift his Mondeo in "a quiet street, quite safe" (his words), to show his friends what the car could do. This is the result:

He was asking if he could pay for towing with his CC and will his CTP cover the damage He also claimed he was a skilled driver so it was fine for him to "drift" in suburban streets. Most people tore him a new one before the thread was deleted

mate, i loved the AU(AUII i had) longest i ever kept a car for by a huge margin, time just came for something new...and the AU exterior was just too damn ugly for me, not the worst car i've ever seen by a long way...but it's just kind of harsh.
i like the AUII-III interior better than the subsequent B-series i've piloted though

HAWT! I've long been of the belief, however, that it's unfair to bring up the T-Series cars when talking about the ugliness of the AU. How could Ford get it so wrong and so right with the same model!? The Forte looked like a sea creature and the T-Series was sex on wheels.
