Default New Falcon Top Doorslammers First Look At Brett Stevens New Cars

The Brett Stevens Racing chassis shop has been in overdrive during Australian Drag Racing’s typical ‘off season’ with numerous improvements taking place to the teams current stock of vehicles.

One of the most anticipated upgrades is the construction of brand new 2005 BA Ford Falcon Top Doorslammers to replace Brett Stevens existing 53’ Studebaker and Kath Stevens 63’ Split Window Corvette.

As the BA Falcon model has never competed in the professional Top Doorslammer bracket, all of the body modifications have taken place in house as well as an all news chassis design being implemented for the new cars.

Due to debut in the upcoming 2005/2006 season, Stevens is hoping the new cars will help him recapture the Australian Top Doorslammer title that he won in 2004.

“The new cars are shaping up really well,” Stevens said.

“I’m getting really excited about getting them to the track to see what they can do.”

“While last season we ran quite a few 6.0’s (second passes) we were trying a lot of new things and didn’t have the consistency we had in 2004.”

“I’m confident that with the knowledge we learnt from last season combined with the new vehicles we will again be a real Championship threat this season.”
