Default fiesta wt superchips bluefin

Got a price back from superchips its $344 delivered however they say it doesnt read some of the aussie ecu's so im thinking the thai built models. But seems as though 1 of these bluefins can be used on more than 1 car?
Anyone bought a bluefin for their fiesta ws or wt only?

Chip tuning only works if you have existing supporting engine mods right?

Extra Power = paying for it in Efficiency, Emissions & Reliability?

I mean, wouldn't Ford have tuned their chips for this stuff already?

True but the focus has same engine as fiesta with more power and torque and the fiesta metal has more power again better economy. Only diff being higher rev limit and louder rear muffler.

Though as I understand the Focus and Fiesta Metal both have different intake and exhaust systems than the base Fiesta.

That should let them give it a different tune without sacrificing too much economy while keeping the reliability.

Hmmm, the Metal is rated at 0.1L/100km less fuel use than a regular WT too.

All the engine innards are identical as well?

If so, maybe pay for it on an earlier engine rebuild?

Or maybe stock Fiesta engines are de-tuned for marketing reasons?

the engine number prefix is different as ones from germany ones from thailand
the intake manifold and all piping has the same numbers though.
i would say the metal might have something else done but i seem to think the reason for the higher output in the focus is due to the fact people would not buy a focus with a fiesta motor if that makes sense..although it is

The Bluefin will not work on a WT. Different ECU set up, I don't really understand the differences but apparently that is the case.

The Metal has the dual intake and I think a different exhaust (it is a WS anyway)

According to Pumaspeed the Pipercross intake gives another 6hp and the full Milltek around 15hp from memory...maybe that is your best option although obviously it requires more coin.

I can't see any reason the metal tune wouldn't flash into the standard ws, real pity my friend no longer works at a ford dealer or I'd have given it a try

Bluefin worked wonders on my modded WS. 2.0 update also brought a rise in the rev limiter to 7000rpm. Engine is still pulling hard when limiter abruptly kicks in bang on 7k. I have a full Milltek system, j1 cai, iridium plugs and other bits and pieces but the best low-buck power gain is ANY cold air induction as the Fiesta is really strangled. It was a real seat-of-the-pants performance improvement. J1 cai are top-shelf but same performance gains can be made on the cheap. Despite a daily flogging gas mileage rarely goes over 7L per 100k.

OR

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Superchip...d780d84&_uhb=1
