Hi,
Someone picked themselves up a 2017 Focus RS AWD for 7k plus fees at Pickles today. I logged on a few minutes too late. It was a Stat.writeoff with quite small front damage, very repairable, so it's sad to see it being for parts or export only. Possibilities would be many with such a wreck; A) Build a replica in another 2013 - 18 Focus shell. (Buy new bumpers from Ford) B) Build a sleeper replica in a Focus shell. (look like base model..) C) Repair it as track only car, roll cage etc, D) Floor pan transfer into another old bomb, such as a vintage car, into a Fiesta as AWD road car etc, (more work than any of the other opportunities) E) Repair it as a genuine RS and export to NZ or other country with RHD, F) Part it out.. Some wrecker will probably have $20k profit on this one Anyway, kicking myself in the leg for being too late to participate in the auction. Cheers, |

If you have the time and money to do any of these things its a great bargain.
never works out if you have to pay someone for the work. good ones are advertised around the 50K mark not sure about option E.

A lot of Aus stat write-off simply end up on the road in other countries, I have no relatives in nz so wouldn't even try that myself. Cheers |
