My car is the same. Your car must be an ex-telstra fleet car. They call it daylight running, when the headlights are always on. It's a safety thing. Might work as no one has run into me in 4 years.

Tried to get Ford to turn it off. They said it's a big job any you're better off going to auto elec. I normally change headlights every 6 months.

I get sick of people pointing to my car during the day and shouting "Your lights are on".

It's hard wired in ... would be cheaper to get an auto-elec to remove it.
It is a Ford option to have it though.

I do agree though about having them on for safety ... I drive with them on during the day as well and find it has helped.

It is remove-able, it is a ford adapter connected somewhere to the headlights. It looks like this:

I had the same issue, ie ex telstra car, blew one of my globes, took it in for a service, asked if they could disconnect it and they said yes. Picked the car up, lights off and did not cost me a cent.
Therefore I guess have a look around, surely some one can disconnect it for you and not charge an arm and a leg.

Or check under the blue oval badge to see if it really says "Volvo".

Seriously tho, I always run with, at least, the parking lights on, even in bright sunshine. Every bit of safety has to help - cross fingers.

fcking faggoty blue bulbs. they are for idiots. normal bulbs for the win.

Why do you need blue bulbs? Aren't the AU headlights (brightest headlights on the road) bright enough for you? Why do you think it is necessary to annoy all your other fellow road users with the stupid blue bulbs?
