Sounds like you need a block of wood under that right pedal more than anything else.

Maybe if you didn't speed, you wouldn't be complaining now....... :nutsycuck
Actions have consequences.... just be thankful this action only had a fine as a consequence...

I agree AUIII XR8 MAN.....

Sure its balatant revenue raising, the limits may be rediculous in some areas and with a low tolerance in Vic (the 7 over in a 77kmh you probably wouldn't have gotten in NSW) but it doesn't help that you allow them to catch you. You know the limits that you have to keep and you now have a speed camera location list, stop allowing yourself to get caught!

The 7k over in a 70 zone is a questionable one as I don't belive Victoria should be able to enforce the 3k over rule when ADR's state that a speedo only needs to be within 10% of your actual speed. But the 21k over in a 100 zone, mate we all know that we occasionally speed but 21 over and then complaining about it? No one made you do that speed. Just pay it and get on with life.

yeah i'd agree with that comment regarding 121 in a 100 zone.
its easy to accidently creep up to ~77 in a 70 zone, just like its easy to accidently get upto 70 in a 60 zone... but in the end its the law and yeah there is no excuse .........

So i should just cop on the chin getting caught doing 65 in a 60 zone at the bottom of a hill? At what point was i showing total disregard for the law?

If you had read the rest of the posts you probably wouldn't have posted that.

We're talking about doing speeds like 78 in a 50 zone or 121 in a 100 zone, If your doing speeds like that and you get caught then hell yes! cop it on the chin!! ing_sm

If you dont watch your speedo and watch the road and where you are going, adding 20 onto 100 down a hill really isnt hard to do, and harly noticable.

If you were watching the road instead of your speedo, you are safer than most of these state government loving sheep on this site. "Do the time, do the crime" yeah right.... what sort of a coment is that? maybe it was safer to watch the road inspead of your speedo? So you would stop at a red light even if a semi was bearing down to run you over?

anyway

Bad luck mate.

Three speeding fines and you have not learned your lesson yet. Makes me wonder if evolution is really true (thats another debate) as you obviously have a mind of a ape.

You aren't serious surely with these comments. It isn't that hard to have a quick glimpse at your speedo whilst still paying full attention to the road ahead, beside oh and yes behind you.
If you can't do all those things and consider yourself to be competent at it, then hand your licence in.

It wasn't bad luck. He got 3 Fines!!!! All these fines were obviously in a short space of time.. Goodness sake, a lot of people have been fined for being stupid (me included) but I don't whinge about it. My fault I was doing it, so be it.

Talking of fines though, how lucky was I. I was over by 7klms Easter time (according to the letter, thought it was more) and only received a warning. The second letter told me I was over by 13klms (again thought it was more) and the warning stated this was my second warning and a third time being caught will result in a fine and to slow down if I want to keep my licence.. All fair comments and well and truly noted.
I can't believe I did not get a fine, but I can tell you if I had on either occasion I would have paid without whinging because it was me driving, me in control of that car, me with my heavy boof foot on that pedal....
End of story

While driving along my digital spedo says 100kmph. The spedo guage on the other hand says 105kmph. Which one do I trust? It is the difference between a fine and no fine. :

You could try to sit between the two :

Take it to a mechanic and get it checked, so that way you at least know.

Well when your speedo reads 100 that would mean the you would be doing 95 so there is no issue.

Yes you should, unless your brakes don't work coming down hills then i'd understand..: Not saying it doesn't happen accidently but if doing 65 in a 60 wasn't your fault who's was it?
