o2 sensors do have a service life of around 80,000kays, so if it hasnt been replaced in that time frame...

Have had a similar problem.
It was the TPS .
I would change out the TPS on the Throttle body and try.

The problem occurred at light throttle.

Thanks Dazza, goes back to Auto electricians soon. Will be looking at things like that, and 02 sensor.

Only went back into Auto Elecricians today 4/2/14. Haven't heard back yet, so he's still got his head stuck under the bonnet! Will be talking to him later today or tomorrow. Stay tuned!

did you find the problem? My feels a bit gutless everynow and then...getting a new cat (has got none)...hoping that might help.

Didn't find the problem no. Stopped throwing dollars at it, cut my loses, and sold it unregisted for $500. I wished the young fella that bought it good luck because he will need it.
Updated to an FG ute, manual, with low k's. Lets see if i get 365000 k's out of this one?
