Vehicles will be in customers hands March/April. Not long at all.

Someone on here said media release was February?

I'd say the cars are available to high level managers with the brief to get as many k's on them as possible for durability testing.

Shame my dad's retired now as I probably would have driven one by now.

Anyone else notice the VW headlight/grille arrangement? Not that it is a bad thing. 2.7TD should be just as quick as the 4.0l I'd say, was reading a review of the latest XJ Jag 3.0td, if only Ford Au could get their hands on that weapon.

Like it. Like the wheels. We have the blacked out 'SR' wheels with our RPO76 'SR', so I'd do this again. Front reminds me of the ED-EF transformation, I still have fond memories of both models. I like the C pillars and hopefully better rear vision too.

Aussie produced and a diesel! How long have we waited? (Did Land Rover make any diesels here in the 1970's? - I know they assembled Counties with the Isuzu 3.9 in the 1980's, so it's been a long while!)

Nice pics by the way. It would be nice to see them at All Ford day in Geelong.

Why are Ford still persisting with these TINY wheeels on the Territory. I understand ride comfort for old fashioned gits (the sort who will whinge about the DRL's), but hopefully there will at LEAST be an option for 20's. BMW has been doing it since 05 with the X5 and ours has 20" Wheels (Excactly like the pic posted before) and it looks sensational and the ride quality is still fantastic now that we pee'd off the Runflats.

Ever had to replace 20's on an 'SUV'? The Territory and the X5 are in very different markets, and, while they may be cross shopped, there will not be many Territory drivers happy about forking over their back teeth for a set of tyres.

As ive already said in another thread Territory 18's with factory rubber aren't that cheap either.. Ranging from $430 to $550 a corner..

And I've said in the same thread, that the higher you go, the dearer they are. The 17s on my SX only set me back about 350 a corner.

20s are closer to a 800 a corner. Not exactly chicken feed.

Not everyone wants to spend thousands of dollars on tyres when they need new ones.

Because they would have to calibrate things like DSC, ABS etc and the suspensions tune/settings for every different tyre/wheel size I would assume.

Saw this exact one driving in Waurn Ponds (Geelong) tonight. It is an awesome looking machine. The woman driving saw me try to take a photo so floored it (going 90 in a 70 zone) and got away.

looks good overall i say...the details on the front helps with the image of the car not being as big as it is. A good thing.

Has anyone been able to identify on this diesel model whether it actually has twin pipes out the back or is all of that just decoration? (please don't say it is just decoration).

It was confirmed to be completely cosmetic by one of the Ford guys on here (forget which one).

The car looks fabulous. I find that the back end works especially well.

However, the wheels look like XR6 turbo wheels with cancer.

I wouldn't get too excited with your copyright - looks like the same car was snapped last week and is already in the media
