Yeah on my p's I wanted a v8 so bad. But buying land just to drive a turbo on your p's seams like too much ******* around.

It never ceases to astound me the amount of people trying to get around the P-plate laws for their various state or territory.

There's reasons these laws are bought in. Whether or not you agree with them is totally up to you, but attempting to circumvent them can only lead to trouble.

While we're on the topic of trying to break state laws, can anybody tell me if I can register my defected LTD interstate so I can peel the defect sticker off and make it instantly roadworthy again?

Not too sure but I think if you've got a mate in SA or over here you can get a few letters addressed to their house then go into the licensing centre and tell them you've moved to said address and want to transfer your licence.

When I was working over in Melb. I know one of the apprentices in vic did this to get his licence earlier.

Edit: no dramas with getting an 8 or turbo over here in WA either mate

Go ahead by all means.

I'd like to see you explain it to insurance.

I have an SA licence but driving a car registered in NSW, garaged in NSW.

Or getting pulled over by a police officer, I have an SA licence but driving a car registered in NSW. "I just moved here" might not cut it.
