doesn't look to bad, not a fan of the big grill on the front though.

A good effort Ford NA,

Please FoA, make the next Territory a bit longer/wider so the two can coexist,
maybe Territory becomes exportable soft road alternative to larger Expedition....

Story goes that the cover blew off and a camera was right there to catch it.
I'd say these guys have been watching or tailing the vehicle for a while...

Another vote for Landrover, but it'd be great if it was the new Explorer!

Default Spy Shots: 2012 Ford Explorer caught completely disrobed

But we digress. Our intrepid spy photographers managed to snap off a giant series of photos of the hotly anticipated 2012 Ford Explorer completely uncovered, and that is a very, very good thing indeed.

For the first time ever, thanks to an unruly gust of wind, we get to see the first-ever unibody Explorer in all its glory. That looks to include a new take on the familiar in-your-face three-bar grille with newly perforated top and bottom rungs bisected by two thin chrome strips up front. Note, too, the mildly sculpted flanks that lead to the currently en vogue fastback-like sharply raked C-pillar. A closer look at the fascia reveals not-yet-completed projector headlamps ensconced in clear covers that angle well back into the fenders. Lookin' good so far, we'd say.

Though we don't quite get a good look at the rear fascia, we do get a clear shot underneath the car from the hind quarters. This is most definitely a front-wheel drive chassis, and though this particular mule isn't equipped with one, there will surely be an optional rear differential for all-wheel drive duty. See all the shots for yourself in our high-res image gallery below.

It is...

It is also the new Police Utility interceptor...

Like I said above, if Taurus = Falcon, then Explorer = Territory.

I'm worrried about FoA's future beyond 2015.

Word to the wise - If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, chances are that its a duck. 2015 Bye Bye falcon (as we know it) say hello to a taurus badged as a falcon. Burella?? wolf in sheeps clothing?

If (IF), we are to loss the locally built Falcon, god hopes the Taurus is imported & sold as a Taurus & not a Falcon. It 100% does not desvere the Falcon name. Don't insult the Falcon name!!

But we ae getting a little off topic

Looks like a Territory & Land Rover become good friends. Quite like the styling.

I see where you're coming from. I would have guessed it's the next Freelander....

The resemblances, from what I can see, to any Ford dna are the lights; similar in shape to the F150's and Flex. Plus also the three bar design is similar to that of Taurus'.

Looks like an Escape on roids that's mated with a freelander.

Also the front is very similar to the 2011 Edge. F-150 and Expedition will have a redesign soon, so they could share similar noses, but since they are a different category they don't really have to.
In a way though, all off the Ford cars now have their own character too. It's not like Chevy, where every car you sit inside feels the same. The dashboard in the Tahoe/Suburban is the same as the Malibu, Impala, HHR. The only one that feels different is the Camaro. Toyota has the same problem. Every interior is the same. But with Toyota, every exterior is too much of the same too. Fusion feels different to a Focus. You get in a Taurus, and it feels nothing like a Fusion. Mustang is completely different. The styling changes enough to give each car its own character too. But they all look like Fords. You go to Toyota, and the Sequoia looks like a beefed up Land Cruiser, which looks like a beefed up Prado, which looks like a beefed up Highlander/Kluger. Nothing really changes, except the size. So I think you don't want too much of the same thing.
