Default Pirated Bearings

In an FI race in 98 the leader pulled out on lap 19 , the cause was a ballrace fail

If an F1 team can get caught buying a FAG bearing that is not really an FAG bearing but a slack copy , what chance have we ordinary people got of getting genuine bearings

I know the major players in the bearing industry will come down hard on counterfeits but I know of at least one instance where FAG were reluctant to take any legal action. It's a shame because they have very good quality products.
