Default Rum Drinkers

I've been buying some collectable bottles of rum lately. Bundy to be exact. While my collection consists mainly of empty bottles (Who can resist) I've managed to grab a couple of each of the Founding Fathers (one i Drank and the other I am keeping) and now the 10 year old master distillers rum which is just fresh onto the market.

I bought 2 bottles today while they can still be bought at Dan Murphy's for $69.90. It comes in a cool looking bottle and while the Ebay bottles are starting to go for around $100, I thought I'd get in early. So if your a Rum drinker and you enjoy your bundy, get into your local liquer store before the limited run is all sold out. Each bottle is numbered. And I've opened one and it's liquid gold.

If there are any left next month, I'll grab some more.

Thanks alot Bucknaked! that cost me more that what i thought it would!

I went in with a plan, big mistake! I was going to purchase 2 bottles, one for myself (to keep sealed) and one for my sister-in-law (for her upcoming birthday and to drink)... well i got talking to one of the managers there, a good lengthy convo that also included a sampling of some rather nice port!... i ended up only buying 1 bottle of this rum AND a bottle of Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix...

Your welcome. Always happy to help a forum member

If booze comes in any sort of fancy box, you know it's gonna be expensive. So glad I only like one type of drink.

Agree on the Appletons, also Pampero Anniversario, Havana Club isn't bad, Diplomatico is a great one too.
Some are very hard to get a hold of. I find the best are the Central American Rums personally.

Bundy rum is for getting tanked on....

Buy a good scotch if you are looking for something to hold on to...

I've got a 12 year Glen Morangie at home...It's actually a 13 year now.

Looks good doesnt it! I recently added two bottles to my collection, one to drink one to keep. I have about 15 different bottles in mine now. How did you drink this one? Is it much different to other bundys ? I found the "Founding Fathers" bundy not that special. My all time favorite is Distillers number 3 which is expensive to get now, but for some reason the local club sells it over the bar still.

I have nearly cracked it a few times...waiting for a good occasion...Need to get some nice scotch glasses first and some good pure water for ice.

Not going to drink it with some crappy tap water ice and worthless tumbler haha.

Talking Re: Rum Drinkers

Slightly off topic,I got given a bottle of Black Velvet whiskey (in a proper gift cylinder) for my 21st birthday which was a very long long time ago it was bottled in 1973 which makes it err I run out fingers very old, I just never found the right event to drink it.

I had a couple of shots and will put it on ice tonight.

I don't normally drink it straight, but will with this as I did with fathers. Generic Bundy I drink with coke.

15 bottles of Bundy is a good stash.

I agree on the founding fathers. I didnt think it was that special. I think it has something to do with the vats it matured in. This one I found had a much smoother taste. It warms your sole. But I'm not expert on booze. If it tastes good and it's Bundy then I'll like it.

Got another email today to say a new limited drink released called Watermark". All proceeds going to the flood appeal. Unfotunately, only available over the phone (not in stores) and a minimum of 12 bottles. $40 a bottle.

The taste changed & was most noticeable in the Red, I've never drunk Red.... well there was that time on Hammo Island....... Anyhow, I like the Black n' that's all I drink.... the stuff is distilled in Fiji now that Lion Nathan brought it.

Thanks for the heads up, went out and bought a 'few' tonight.

Now if you want to really treat your tongue, find a bottle of Pyrat rum. OMFG! It's just magic and I would consider myself a serious rum drinker.
