at the end of that video it says she will most likely escape jail time........ soooooooooo...... whats the lesson learnt here, do what you want, you wont go to jail? 15mins of fame anyway you can?

It was mentioned in another article - I think in the Melbourne Herald-Sun - that the mother, her daughter and her friends had been drinking at home. So that tells you what sort of mother she is. Then they called the victim pretending to be nice and invited her over. Then they went to the park where the assault took place with the mother recording it and encouraging the assault. The girls got a typical slap on the wrist - probation and/or supervision orders. The mother is due for sentencing this week - looks like she'll get a community based-order. All of them should have been jailed for this.

There are two 'generations' of Gen Y anyway.

Some grew up with Britney Spears, reality TV/Big Brother/Idol and iPods. i must be getting old. at that age my biggest kick was playing shopping trolley bashing on our pushbikes. personaly i dont think overweight,alcholic people should be allowed to to breed. yep story is pretty sad but these little shits are going to run this country one day

You're not alone on this one. Practically everything you wrote about yourself applies to me too.

It's more about growing up with the influences of Gen X, than being historically belonging to that group. They were certainly present in my life, when I was a kid. That and I can't relate to too many of the younger 'Gen Y', they're more sheep than individuals. Only my observation, but it seems there's more sheep as time goes on.
