Default Fantastic Ford Advertising

Hi all,

I just saw the new Territory ad, where the crew use a 2.7 diesel Territory to tow a whole heap of ice ("2.7 tonnes capacity")to a hill around beautiful Apollo Bay and proceed to make a mini snow slope and jumps. They then film their rides and share this on cams at the end of the day. Superb!

Concise, fun, exciting, shows the strengths of the vehicle, and filmed beautifully.

10/10!

About time Ford produce some good ads, including the new Focus ad. Holden have always been one step ahead in their marketing department; its great to see Ford catching up (in marketing, not product!)

Totallly agree. Saw it last night for the first time. My wife (who has no real interest in cars) actually commented what a good ad it was.

And to think I opened this thread thinking it was another slinging match , lol .

Just watching the around the world ad as I opened this , seems they are advertising the *** off the territory , let's hope it converts to sales .good to see Ford keep it up

I believe this is thanks to the director of global Ford marketing making her way over here last year or whenever it was. Also because of the global Ford marketing - Ford ad's will be getting better and better since there will be less varients, one advertisement budget will cover the whole global range - Other than the Territory of course.

Good on ya Ford!

I think the new Ford ads are brilliant. The ice haul is absolutely bang on, and the fun they have after is sensational.
The one with the Focus and the self parking would appeal to every woman who has difficulty parking, and IMO puts it on the top of the shopping list for women over the cruze. Job well done Ford.

Yep, the Ford adverts are really stepping it up. The first of the new wave was the Fiesta advert (which was also the first with their new agency).

I'm looking forward to seeing what they have in store for FG2 Falcon!

+1 for the fun after hauling the ice.

+1 again for the Focus self parking.

Eagerly waiting for some EcoLPI advertising.

I just had a look at the longer one on the Ford site; you guys have way too much fun. Congratulations on a fantastic engineering achievement, followed by a bloody good, smile inducing ad. Pity the shot where the trailer is weighed didn't make the cut.

Very good advertisment for the new Tezza.

Here is one I like, not for the ad or the product (the driver is unbelievably hot):

If Ford Australia wanted to increase their youth appeal they should do a remake of this ad for the Falcon and Escort from the 1970s

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcMUoyJgVF4

If you watch the entire ad closely, it does contain what our youth are still into doing though.

Trouble is the orginal Terrirtory add with the female employee driving the 700km trip to visit her friends was only shown a few times on TV here about 4 months ago and then it stopped... The new add is great, but if Ford make a series of adds about the Territory wouldnt it be prudent to release the adds in quick succession in an advertising blitz instead of dribs and drabs??

I think it shows that Ford's more recent ads that not many people here liked, (such as the finger walking) weren't as bad as they could have been.

I actualy thought it wasnt a bad ad

no it doesnt show much about the car or its atributes, it has taken a different angel as in its fun

people today have very little knowlege abot uthe car they buy and if they want this knowlege they are smart enough to research it if they want

to me the ad makes the car look fun, and people want a car to be fun

thumbs up from me

Only internally to fleets at this stage. Shame, really.
