I noticed this years ago around the time the BF came out. Also if you look at the pre-2008 Fiesta's lower grille and turn it upside down, it also looks like a GT500

Also looks like a fiesta, focus and mondeo - why assume it's taken from a mustang when the focus is closer? Mustangs are just jumped up falcons anyway (the first mustang was built on the poor selling falcon platform).

The shape of the area around the headlight of the Mustang is similar to the area around the fog light of the Falcon? Otherwise I dont see it....

Nothing alike lol.

If you squint, the upper grille for the stang and the way the headlights swoop back from it kind of looks like the lower grille and fog lights on our FG1s. Kinda.

As mentioned I think the only similarities with the GT500 are the lower air intake and fog light scollops which mimmic the grill/headlights if the Mustang.

The opening of the lower grill on the falcon is the same as the opening on the upper grill (between the headlights)

thanks, that put it in a better perspective . the bottom of the falcon does have similar styling to the top of the mustang . that having been said it was probably coincidence rather than a copy

Yeah I don't think they copied mustang.
I'd say they were referencing the BA GT lower opening, similar to what they did for BF XRs.

Someone turn a BA XR lower grill upside-down and tell me if you can see a 1967 Mustang nose ....

Maybe if you squint, spin around 10 times after drinking a slab and maybe then it might look vaguely similar.

I think the styling on the top half of the mustang front and low half of FG 1 is definitely similar. Not sure why everyone is having a dig.

because the only thing they have in common is that they both run on petrol, or as the yanks says gasoline.
