The Eisenhower interstate system requires that one mile in every five must be straight. These straight sections are usable as airstrips in times of war or other emergencies.

The Boston University Bridge is the only place in the world where a boat can sail under a train driving under a car driving under an airplane.

The cruise liner, Queen Elizabeth II, moves only six inches for each gallon of diesel that it burns.

The first Ford cars had Dodge engines.

Leonardo Da Vinci invented the scissors.

One of the reasons marijuana is illegal today because cotton growers in the 30s lobbied against hemp farmers -- they saw it as competition. It is not chemically addictive as is nicotine, alcohol, or caffeine.

The only two days of the year in which there are no professional sports games (MLB, NBA, NHL, or NFL) are the day before and the day after the Major League All-Star Game.

I've got one, did you know that a baked potato has the same GI index as raw sugar? That means the energy in them both are absorbed and used by your body at the same rate.

heres some more usless infomation!!!

Test for Dementia

Below are four (4) questions and a bonus question. You have

to

answer

them instantly. You can't take your time, answer all of

them

immediately. OK?

Let's find out just how clever you really are.

Ready? GO!!! (scroll down)

First Question:

You are participating in a race. You overtake the second

person.

What

position are you in?

Answer: If you answered that you are first, then you are

absolutely wrong! If you overtake the second person and you

take

his

place, you are second!

Try not to screw up in the next question.

To answer the second question, don't take as much time as

you

took

for

the first question.

Second Question:

If you overtake the last person, then you are...?

Answer: If you answered that you are second to last, then

you

are

wrong again. Tell me, how can you overtake the LAST

Person?

You're not very good at this! Are you?

Third Question:

Very tricky math! Note: This must be done in your head only.

Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator. Try it.

Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add

30.

Add

another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000

Now add 10. What is the total?

Scroll down for answer.

Did you get 5000?

The correct answer is actually 4100.

Don't believe it? Check with your calculator! Today is

definitely

not

your day. Maybe you will get the last question right?

Fourth Question:

Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini,

4. Nono.

What is the name of the fifth daughter?

Answer: Nunu?

NO! Of course not.

Her name is Mary. Read the question again

Okay, now the bonus round:

There is a mute person who wants to buy a toothbrush. By

imitating the action of brushing one's teeth he successfully

expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is

done.

He just has to open his mouth and ask, so simple.

KEEP THIS GOING TO FRUSTRATE THE

SMART PEOPLE

Dumb Laws of the Week - [Dumb Laws]
Submitted by Eagle101 on 3/10/2005 6:16:34 PM 19 Comments

I want to thank everyone who send me some interesting dumb laws. Thanks

Germany: It is illegal for ones car to run out of gas on the Autobahn.

United Kingdom: If you are in your car and run over an animal in the road, it is illegal to stop and pick it up and take home for supper (if its an edible animal of course) But the car behind you is perfectly legal to do so!!

Alabama, USA: It is illegal to wear a fake moustache that causes laughter in church.

yeah its because you think you have to do it quick so your brain seems to not realise that you are adding 'tens' and not 'hundreds' (the 40, 30, 20, 10 part). and if you add it up how it says your brain is tricked compared to if you wrote out the '1000s' and 10s' seperatly.
hopefully someone understands what im trying to say?
