Remember, federal government is behind media censorship with the internet in this country, they don't want free speech as you know it.

I say instead: "Promote and support Julie Inman Grant and help protect our more vulnerable children."

If your your young child is using X, then you should be looking inwards as you aren't fit to have children.

The last thing I would expose my hypothetical children to is social media, however it's a useful tool for information sharing outside of the controlled traditional methods.

Sacking her won't achieve anything. The idea had bipartisan support.

Did the gov seriously think they could dictate what the rest of the world could or couldn't see?

Censorship doesn't work :P When they go to school and all their friends are on it, there will be an inevitable pull. Teach them how to handle all shit that comes with it.

She's an ex Twitter employee, so of course she hates Elon Musk and wants to clamp down on what is peasants can and can't see. I notice X was the only social media company which didn't instantly roll over to the governments demands unlike the cucks over at Facebook.

I reckon get rid of her anyway to make an example out of her,

Getting rid of her won't do much but I'd admire her head on my hallway wall every morning

This whole fiasco reminds me of when school banned Pokemon cards in the early 2000s, and banned us from going to the new skate park under 'safety'. Oh and they banned us playing footy too.

10 years later work took our zoo magazines off us just in case female paramedics came into our lunch room - never seen a female paramedic come into the joint the entire time I worked there.

It's always 'safety' - just come clean and come out with the real reason you don't like it, because you're a flog rather than the safety scapegoat.

The E Safety Commissioner is the biggest hypocrite, was once offered a senior role in the CIA, she refused the role on privacy grounds, didn't like the idea that the CIA and NSA would have unfettered access to her social media and email accounts, including the ability to remove any posts they did not agree with or went against policy.

What's any of this got to do with general automotive talk? In the wrong section, me thinks.

Jumping to collusions a bit Franco;I have no young children; my youngest is 37 years old. But I have much wider community concern as history shows even adults can be driven to suicide or self-harm by some of the stuff that can be posted there. We censor what goes on TV and radio so why not the Internet too.
