bought my crow cam for 350 4 years ago, last time i checked they are around 300 these days.

as for power 150 at treads and running 14s is not too shabby for a bolt in crow cam on stock ecu ;)

Nup, don't have that cam.

The one I have is 2232549. Which I need to get advanced, because it's so damn sloppy down low...

yes and it might have worked in an EF too.

They don't do much in an AU stock lift 111 LSA. Better of with an XR6 cam

No surprise to me either I could only get 129rwkw tuned with headwork out of the 2232549.

I would think a stock XR6 cam would be better or a wade 1604 anything in fact.

so maybe an El/EF recommended cam doesn't work so well in an AU

Actually, was talking with someone who has the 2222549 cam in an EL, saying that 2232549 was for the AU. They wanted the 223 one and were told that it wouldn't work in an EL because of rocker ratio.

Sounds to me that Crows website is up **** creek without a paddle.

El cams can get away with waaayyyyy more overlap and duration. the reason ya can't do the same with au and ef is cause of the coilpack. Spark is fired once every 360 deg which means that the plug fires on the exhast stroke too. this is called waste spark and if duration/ overlap is too large you will get poppin and big bangs goin on. I found out the hard way years ago when we put a ed cam in an ef ( there were no ef grinds back then) because of waste spark ignition system you are limited to how wild you can go.

if thats the cam by itself thats way over priced

if that is cam, adjustable cam gear, valve springs, valves etc, thats a little closer

Seems way overpriced.. is that just the cam itself? no valve springs or anything?

I'll sell my cam when I get my new one soon ;)

TRY CAMTECH IN MOOREBANK N.S.W ASK FOR MALCOM , HE'S BEEN IN THE CAM GAME FOR ALONG WHILE , BETTER THAN CROW OR WADE, JUST TELL HIM WHAT YOUR CAR SPECS ARE , AND I SWEAR YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED. ABOUT $450

and who did u talk to at crow?

The crow website needs a little bit of an update, if and when you order products always give you exact make and model and year to confirm tha the right cam is send. Some part numbers apear to be overlapping between models.

As for no power out of an AU i call BS. I have had a Crow 2232550 without any ecu mods at all and made around 150kW and ran a 14.9 quite comfortably (inc my ****ty driving).

The Crow 2232550 has the lift to work better in the AU head so 130kw for the 2549 with less then stock lift and 150kw for the 2550 sounds about right to me. My next cam has 0.540 lift not quite as much as the 2250 but lets see how it goes.
