Default Escort mk2 dash panel removel

hi just asking dose anyone know how to remove the dash panel around the heater controls in a mk2 Escort.

Its has plastic grommets that are pressed into the panel. Very difficult to remove without snapping off, unfortunately.
Remove everything from under the dash. ie centre consol, glovebox etc, stick you head under and try and press them out from behind. Mos people force a flat screwdriver in under them and they always break. Then they stick them back on with db-sided tape. :

alright thanks for that i had a felling i had to do somthing like that but i didn't what to pull it apart without checking first

just leave it off and clean up the dash underneath it. they look good without them i rekon

na i'm makeing up a template and puting brushed aluminum plate there i'll post once finished.
I will say this though i see why most people brake them getting them off.
