Yes Stinger was being made regardless just like other RWD sedans like Kia K9 & Hyundai Genesis have been.

But nobody can deny its a good time to be released in Australia.

On these roads if you brake in a FWD there is lost traction and you loose all steering, cause the brakes even with anti- lock braking distort steering.
So in this situation, its see you later road and hello table drain/mulga...... Big tree, etc.
The RWD vehicles which Holden/Ford have been engineering here for generations leave FWD in the weeds on these bush roads.
Given that most buyers are in urban areas in Aussie now this debate is almost irrelevant to the urban driver...... until they find themselves on a 'bush' road.
Yoou can try this out on narrower tared roads in a RWD/FWD simply by tossing the LH side wheels into the gravel.....
I just wanted to ask as Ford have a lovely Fusion AWD twin turbo, but sadly, we don't get.

Yes noting wrong with AWD - that may be an option if FoA engineering threw some millions at the suspension/handling to fix it up.

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Talking to a mate about the Stinger yesterday. His thought was it's mostly coming here to be the new HWP car. Should be a lot cheaper than the euro alternatives the cops are currently looking at.
