Its all bullИИИИ isn't it thats a very flattering number for what is a relatively stock car.

Great for bragging rights but just between you me and the rest of the forum members an XR6 that puts out 164fwkw won't get 130rwkw with the mods you have got.

You genuinely would find that with a manual you would lose 50kw and get about 115rwkw and with a good exhaust probably get that up to 120rwkw on a fair dyno on a fair day.

Of course there is the possibilty you have a PHREAK engine but thats what everyone says.

Run it at a dyno day and see how it compares this is where you find out whether its any good or not. For instance When you see a stock XR8 auto run 139 and you run 136 you now how well or otherwise youre going.

In isolation? Not really - how long is a piece of string?

Against other cars on the same day, same dyno, or in comparison to a previous run with different parameters (old exhaust -> new exhaust, for example) then it's a good measuring tool.

Hmm...Jon those figures look familiar And yeah Matt, your little 4.0L is doing well :P

2002auxr6, results from different dynos on different days are not really comparable. "Shootout" mode goes someway to standardising the calibration of the dyno software across the world, but to get a real idea, it helps to compare the performance of your car compared to another on the same dyno, same day. As Jonbays has pointed out....

Having said that, 130 at the wheels from an AU XR6 is well on the healthy side ;)

Any plans to run it at the track/qtr mile?

1/4 mile ET please

Dyno numbers mean nothing without a baseline.

Of Course mate I know yours is running the numbers on the track and the Dyno.

Dyno only wouldn't impress me if it was in isolation.

Good to see your watching me and keeping me honest mate.

Yes it was a good comparison. you can see how much a stock car loses at the wheels you going from a notioanl stock 200fwkw to 139rwkw on the day. Mine ran 136rwkw so my fwkw maybe went from 157fwkw to 196fwkw!!!

I clocked 136rwkw from memory with my AU XR6, with exhaust and tickford snorkle mods (manual trans).

However like some of the others have said, give it a run down the quarter to really see what your mods are doing for you.
