Default Daboss Is Back Ran A Pb

Just got back from Heathcote RaceWay , Ran the GT,

Ran a 13.17 @107.55 60ft 2.05 660ft 8.58 @ 85.34mph

Not bad for an Auto , this must be the quickest Auto Sedan GT in Vic.

But It's all thanks to chris , and the coutless hours of tuning and listening to me whinge about not having enough power.

But that 13 won't last long already use to it. :evilsasmo

Hey guys,

Robs car is running 3.46 final drive, and has a standard converter. Since the 13.55, the two mods have been a stainless difillipo system and one of our new airboxes.

The rev limiter is bang on 6000, and gets driven down the strip in drive. One thing i will say about a properley tuned 290 is that is makes even a properley tuned 260 feel a little feeble by comparison.

We were chasing a 20 at calder or a 30 at heathcote, so to run a couple of high teens and a bunch of 20's in conditions that were unsuitable (mad kiwi running in the 12's).

Considering ORSMXR was the fastest 260 with a string of 13.20's on his SP9000's, the 290 project is coming along swimmingly.

Cam (GTP200) with his new deal from Herrods raced and ran a 13.56 PB in the Red beast, XR8888 with his new mods from Morpowa ran a 13.49pb with big MPH and a 13.30 on the night with ORSM steering it, there was a super quick fairly stock manual pursuit that had a dip, I think 13.30's not bad for a novice driver.......ORSMT6 with his first turbo 12, a nizpro tuned 12.88.

smiles and laughs all night with an impromtu visit by several ORSM club members with some fantastic looking BA's, and the appearance from the one and only DOC from themboys, pampering us all with fantastic products at ridiculously low prices.

Rob, the door to club 12 is open. see you soon. :

My ute is having some therapy at the moment mark, devoting some time to some valued clients, then will be back with mods. I had a full detail, which repaired the previous errors from the detailer who put scratches all over it, and just looking to buy an auto atm, I have one in mind from a mutual friend who drives a blown BA.

Had the new dyno delivered and installed on friday, so it will be a big lead up to the end of year racing and dyno comps. Purchasing the new twin retarder dyno dynamics 90g thankyou very much will all but say goodbye to my dreams of a pursuit with the killer gearbox, so for now i may just have to be a little more creative with the blue beast. :evil_laug

The door seems open to club 12 for almost any BOSS driver now! which is wicked development considering we are still on bolt ons, unopened and full weight.

Awesome testiment to the R&D gone on for the past 3 years.

Matt, its been a long time in between drinks, with Simon trading the GTP in, the V8 boys have been poorly represented.
