Wonder how that setup will affect the centre of gravity on the Boss engines :

They need to hurry up and run that thing 1/4 mile... I've no doubt it'd be the fastest Boss V8 powered car in the land.

Till Rod gets bored and cranks the boost upward of 7lb's.

Besides that just looks mean as hell...........

I've heard rumours that they bought an engine from the states from one of the Modular powered cobra's, good for 2ooohp. For the life of me i cant remeber the name of the team.

800rwhp is very impressive with that quad-cam donk.

However its a bit disapointing to read that its a heavily worked Mustang 4.6 mill instead of the boss that sits in every V8 falcon.

I wonder if it retains the standard 4.6L size of the cobra or gets our 5.4L Boss size. I tried to find the mag on the way out but couldn't, either sold out or not in yet grrrrrrrrr.

Good one Paul,

Saw this machine at the Melbourne Holden V Ford show. I'd just walked in the door to hear something screaming, jogged over and couldn't get past the little crowd that had formed. I did get a long hard look at the culprit though as well as the Terror-tory nearby.

no his saying whta is true..capa claim alot of kw's but never seem to run their cars that much.

You can have 1000kw's and it means stuff all unless you can get the power down.

I know what he meant mate.

Looks good goes nowhere, all that power and it'd itself first time you gave it a decent stab.

Nah its a Mustand 4.6 thats been bored/stroked to achieve a 5.4 capacity just like our modular V8s.
No mention of the block so id assume its a standard mustang 4.6 prepped item.
CAPA bought the motor from an U.S tuning shop that built and used it in their tubeframe mustang drag car= 7.84@185mph

It was twin turboed though. The CAPA guys bought it and "de-tuned" it by putting a Vortech V7Ysi. Curenttly makes about 850hp at wheels, used to make 1500hp with the twin turbos although it was a dedicated drag engine then.

I only got SM early cause ima subscriber. CreditCard points are only good for magazine subscribtions. A toaster costs 5 times more!

Who cares if they dont race the car everywhere. its a showcar built to showcase their talents which i think it does very well.

WGAF if it cant get ALL the power down properly. Hate to tell you but few street cars can. Give me a Stage5 Nizpro Xr6T with 1000hp anyday, half the fun is battling to get that power down heh.

A bit over the top for my liking. You can see my cousin in the blue shirt filling the beast at the servo though
