What's this post doing in the ASL area ?

Anyway, yes Graham I know what your refering to. My ED suffered from the occasion attack of the steering shudders also, but usually only as you describe when manouvering in tight spaces. Try to never turn the wheel with the car stationary, always have some forward or rearward motion as well, this should just about eliminate it and be kinder on your tyres too.

I don't know of a fix and neither did my service guys. Just make sure there are no leaks and keep the reservior topped up, this all helped.
