Hi Fellow Ford Tragics,
Just joined and looking to share what I know. I'm also looking to get some good oil before I buy a used manual heavily modified ford falcon GS ute. I'm thinking 380-500rwkw should be enough power to keep me smiling.
I've seen one on carsales with quad exhaust . I like it but he says he has 435rwkw with no inter-cooler upgrade mentioned??? I thought that's a must with that output??? Because it's a daily driver for me I don't want a ridiculously heavy/stiff clutch. Is there a way to have a "soft" heavy duty clutch?
I want to own the last 8 cylinder ute to be manufactured by ford australia and it helps that it was factory blown. I'm addicted to the low burble of a V8 - it's aural heaven! My xr6t is sounding like a Camry even when I wind it up. I put a unifilter on it to hear some induction noises but it only makes a sound when I release the peddle not when I rev it up. So disappointing! I don't want to spend good money modifying it if a blown V8 is what I really want.
I currently own an unmodified (except air filter) auto 2012 FG xr6t ute 50,000kms leather, silver paint -
Before this was a auto vixen BF xr8 ute with rear muffler removed - written off in a very unexciting way :( - had diff problems
Before this was an auto blue 2003 BA xr8 ute with full herrod exhaust and pod filter upgrade - sold ( best sounding one I've had) diff and gearbox problems
I can talk underwater sorry so long a comment

Hi guys,

I'm a new member, thought I'd better introduce myself as I've been lurking for some days now.

My name is Joel. I'm 24, engaged, 1 daughter and 1 on the way and I'm a safety officer at a smallish copper mine. I just recently purchased a 2011 XR6 LE in silver with back side skirt decals (I didn't like them at first but they've really grown on me now) after I got fed up with the mechanical troubles my 2011 Holden Captiva 2.2TD was giving me.

I'm new to Ford ownership but very familiar with forums after having been a member of Aus300ZX.com and Bodybuilding.com

I've also previously owned a 1990 300ZX Z32 NA which i loved dearly despite it spending more time in various sheds with bits everywhere than on the road; and the missus had a 1980-something Camry that wouldn't die til we used it for Road Crash rescue training at work.

G'day folks... Newbie here, having just purchased a 2006 XR8 Magnet BOSS 260 ute. Seems to move along okay but a wee bit thirsty. I live in south Gippsland... originally from the Melbourne 'burbs but would never go back. Previously owned a '67 manual XR sedan, an '84 XE auto ute, and a '95 auto EF sedan. Very first car was a 1957 FE Holden Special.

Will look forward to checking things out here.

Giday to XB greenmachine my latest Au is a 2002 tickford Xr8 220 kw it has had extrctors and cold air intake fitted. Apart from that it is as it left the factory. It is silver has momo steering wheel and auto shifter. Factory sun roof and still has original 17" tickford wheels on it and tickford body kit. An absolute beautiful car to drive. I love these Au Xr's that's why I own three. But I'm open to offers on my series one 1999 Xr6 it's black red body stripe currently unregistered.

Hi to All,
Newbie here, just posting to introduce myself.
My name is Ryan, I live in Darwin NT and I am looking forward to getting involved with what seems to be a great community.
The fords I have owned are: 1989 EA falcon GL 3.9 CFI 5 speed, 1998 AU falcon XR8, and my current ford (which is a bit of a project ATM) is a 1990 NA II fairlane. I love the NA NC fairlanes and have always wanted one. This particular one needs some TLC as it was sitting in a blokes yard for 9 months before I acquired it however, its well on the way to being back on the road.
Anyway, that's a bit about me. I look forward to talking to you all in the forum.
Cheers,
Ryan.

Hi All,
Originally joined the forum as I was (and still am) keen on old F100's. I have recently come across an XB Fairmont for sale that we are currently doing some homework on - and will hopefully soon purchase.
We live in Central West NSW so would also be keen to here about any car clubs out this way.
Cheers
Will.

Hi Vincenzo,
Its good to know there are others from the NT/Darwin on here, can't help but feel a little isolated up here sometimes. I'm fairly new to Darwin, still adapting.
I think I may have seen your XR6 getting around town now that you describe it.
I will certainly say hello if I spot you again.
Cheers,
Ryan.

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to stop by and say hello, I just placed a deposit on a brand new XLT Ranger and I can't wait for delivery. Been told late February but me suspects it may well be later than that.
I am a keen 4WDriver so I'll be keen to learn all about the new Ranger from the forum members and see how you have all set up your rigs.
First on the list will be a dual battery system followed by a suspension lift.

Happy Days everyone, see you on the forum.

Cheers

Hi all
Just bought my first ford I'm 37 and went for a 2005 bf xr6T ute.
Loved my brand new Hilux but I must say I'm converted due to the amount of room they have.
Any quick cheap mods I can do to get some real performance out of the turbo without spending too many $$$$.
Any responses would appreciated cheers.
