is there any way for my pinto motor to be mounted to my engine stand without taking off the flywheel? i removed the bell housing from the spare gearbox and it looks like the arms cant get to all the bolt holes at once.
heres a pic of the engine stand  |

I have that EXACT same stand with my 2L pinto on it. I found it was much easier to remove the flywheel and mount it to the hole that the bell housing bolts up to. If your planning on stripping down the entire motor, I suggest you take of the flywheel so you can access everything on your motor more easily. Mine is only attached to stand with three bolts anyway. If your dead set on leaving the flywheel on, im sure there is a way around it.

ill take the clutch off and see if there is room for that.
and this is a youngin question but does the flywheel need to be profesionally tightened? or can u just mark the position and take the bolts out i have a torque wrench. |

ok its not a pinto motor its me moular v8 for me 77 fairlane nut same situation

Take clutch and flywheel off to get access to bolts. Easiest way to undo flywheel bolts is a rattle gun, try marking it for re-installation in same spot and torque up to specified specs.
For added safety get some ARP flywheel bolts, or use some loctite on your old ones.
