Talking Extractors wont fit dual fuel AU1!

I know there is a thread on this already! But i have a diffrent question!

I want to move the gas converter but where too?

I've been quoted $150- and it's a gas place around the corner from G&D

What this gas place is wanting to do is move the gas converter to where the airbox is, so therefore there going be ripping out the airbox and sticking the converter there and then getting some piping made up from the arm that was orignally connecting to the airbox and then sticking a pid filter on the end of it!

But that is just for moving the converter! I would still have to buy the pod filter! So thats another $40-80 then another $60- to fit the extractors!

They are JMM streetfighter prototype extractors!

Any ideas people? Is it worth me doing this?

That's why factory EGAS is better ... it all fits no problems.
Love the petrol vs LPG debates ... I always win when I come up with "at least it only costs me $40 to do 700+km"

If you get the POD it has to boxed in to be legal, so add that to your list.

You would almost be better off with the battery in the boot for the hassle of it all.

GAS is dangerous so a profesional doing it certainly the way to go.

I don't know how much room there is on the 6s, but my converter is mounted sort of below the battery - see the attached pic. If they'll move it there, your extractos should fit no worries at all, and you get to keep the airbox.

No room in the 6s down there ... water pump and associated pipe work is an issue.

Although if changing the header tank to a BA one and getting the radiator hose from the header tank to the radiator ... you can then get the converter moved forward (as the hose to the radiator is not in the way anymore from the AU header tank.

Yes they are interchangeable ... I have done it.

I was ready to move the converter ... but found i really didn't need to. If I was gonig to move it ... I would have only moved it a couple of inches forward .. and maybe an inch higher.

I love LPG. Out of experience, how much extra economy do you guys find with the addition of extractors and an exhaust system?

In theory, it's supposed to be around a 10% gain. In reality it's about 10% worse economy as you tend to use the new-found power.

Exactly! I had worse economy because since i got mine done cause i have to put the foot down all the time :eclipsee_ its starting to get back to normal now though
