Default AU I6 - What can it do? (updated) 14.22

Be nice to see a fast AU I6 go even faster before we port the head and add a camshaft etc.

Craig (ACE) and I will be heading out to Calder to further our I6 development friday night, weather permitting.

We expect it to be quick.

If you guys see us out there, come and say hi.

Chris

nice :
The man may have forgotten the tune box but he bought a carton of glazed krispy creme donuts to the ACE workshop which sort of makes up for it in some respects......LOL.....

14.22 with that sunday drive tune-up is a solid result. Great job driving Terry. :eclipsee_

Default I6 NA Quater mile times.

I was just reading on AU Falcon that Tripower ran a 14.2 quater.(Unopened AU I6) It would be good to see an AU & BA I6 NA get into the 13's b4 the year is it. Does anyone know the fastest AU I6 & BA I6 unopened quater mile times to date.

Sorry Mate, even I didn't realise they would all go so quickly, otherwise I would've kept a couple aside for you.

Next time I come up to the shop i'll bring you a box.

Ok, here’s the rundown from last night.

With an experimental 91 octane fuel economy edit instead of the full race setting…

This is what happened.

Flash box left at workshop – Chris not happy!

60ft : 2.055, et:14.404 mph: 95.94 (Chris)

Craig leaves to pick up box from workshop – Craig not happy!

60ft: 2.014 et: 14.264 mph: 96.86 (Chris)

60ft: 1.981 et: 14.252 mph: 96.35 (Chris)

60ft: 1.970 et: 14.226 mph: 96.53 (Terry)

60ft: 2.009 et: 14.250 mph: 96.65 (Terry)

Craig returns with flash box – Terry & Chris happy

Rain. Nobody Happy!!

Still, thanks to Craig at Aussie Car for his hard core dedication to Drag Racing.
and his skills in setting up a car to run quick numbers whether it has big horsepower or only modest power, like mine.
I cant thank him enough.
(Bribing him with Krispy Kreme donuts helps though!)

And to Chris at Bluepower for his amazing tuning skills where a tune that wasn’t designed to run numbers still did.
Amazing!
(More amazing that he’s still talking to me after finding out we didn’t save him any donuts!)

Probably not much more Melz. We'll see how it goes at the AFF day in Sept with the correct tune.
After that, I want to get stuck into the Mustang.
